We highly recommend these apartments—you get so much more space for the same price as a regular hotel room with no need to worry about going out to find breakfast (you get a spacious kitchen with a full-size fridge, stove, dishwasher and washing machine), vacating the room so cleaners can get in, etc. And, if you want the room cleaned...

Compaired with other accommodation available we thought this excellent value. The rooms were well equipped, clean and comfortable. We visited on the weekend of the Gay pride perade and the final of the European football cup final that Spain won; we thought there would be a great deal of noise from the street but once the shutters were closed there...

All in all very good, the position of the apartments is very good, off a main road so quieter but not out of the way. The staff that manage them all in all are very good, and give you a good tour of the apartments and low down of the area and where to eat etc! The apartment was well...

We spent three days in Madrid and thoroughly enjoyed it. We found the appartment cool, fairly clean with easy to use amenities. The location is great with easy access to shops, supermarket and places of interests. We would surely recommend this place and would definitely stay there again. we stayed here 6 nights and as everybody had said the decore is basic in the Ikea style. But also very adequate and comfortable. The apartment was spacious and had all we needed. The location is great, 10mins walk from Sol,. Surrounded by endless nightclubs and bars close by. But quiet in the street at night, and we were on...

On a quiet street next to loads of great restaurants and shopping. We were steps from the Tribunal Metro stop and were able to get anywhere in a flash. The apartment was wonderful and Claudia who checked us in was a fantastic resource tipping us off to many restaurants and small places we would have never found on our own....

I booked a 2 bedroom apartment in January for a stay in May '12. We were told when we arrived that, due to a leak, (I suspect that they had overbooked), we had to have only 1 bedroom instead. We were then promised a discount to compensate us for the inconvenience. The manager was polite at all times but it...

Having never been in Madrid before, we booked into Madrid Central Suites because of the excellent reviews on this site alone. We were not disappointed. Instead, we were very pleased! The location is perfect as it isits right in the middle of a major shopping district with lots of lovely restaurants, bars and cafes around. There is a convenience store...

Staying in Chueca

Neighborhood Profile
Chueca
Chueca is the hip, gay neighborhood of Madrid where many of the streets are narrow and intimate, but where the hustle and bustle and the eclectic storefronts and people give it a distinctly urban feel. The main thoroughfare is Calle Hortaleza and the main square is Plaza Chueca, completely filled with terraza tables serving copas (mixed drinks) during summer. A mixture of trendy and grungy, some of the adult businesses here are explicitly racy in their signage. From the rainbow flags to the signs above the entrances of its many funky bars, to the date spot restaurants, Chueca is a vibrant and colorful place. It's always interesting to explore the different corners of Chueca by day, and by night, the area becomes a major nightlife destination when the clubs open their doors.
