We stayed at the H10 Hotel Puerta de Alcalá at the end of May and middle of June. The hotel was very comfortable and well located. We particularly enjoyed the rooftop deck with great views of Madrid and Retiro Park. The rooms were very comfortable, quiet, and clean. On a day trip I mistakenly left my camera bag in a taxi. On my return to the hotel later that day, Juan C. at reception helped me begin communications with the taxi company to try to locate the camera bag. For the next few weeks after I had returned home to Canada, Juan diligently followed up and coordinated with the taxi company, organized payment for retrieval of the camera bag then prepared it for shipment to my home in Canada. He went above and beyond the usual service expected at a hotel and I wanted to point out his excellent assistance. Robert S.…
Perfect stay with a great plunge pool for the scorching afternoon heat in Madrid. When I come back to Madrid this will be my no1 choice. Gave 4 stars rather than 5 only because both our room keys broke 5 times (on a 4 night stay) which meant going back to the lobby each time - and the night staff were a bit blunt. The key wasn't near our phones etc. and we are very accustomed to using the magnetic strip keys - I think they are just low quality.
Hotel is in a great location to explore Madrid. Rooms are lovely and breakfast is great. But, if you want to spend more than an hour by the pool a day this is not the hotel for you. With only 8 sun loungers and a small plunge pool restrictions are in place. Sun loungers have to be booked in advance and only for an hour. This meant that we had to travel to another hotel and pay to use facilities. Had we been aware of this before staying we would have looked at another hotel.
Lovely hotel in a great location to explore Madrid. Right next to the most beautiful park and in a nice, safe area. Rooms are well maintained, the most comfortable beds and good functioning air conditioning! Only downside is we didn’t have a kettle for drinks which is a bit of a negative, however, this does come with the superior rooms. The roof terrace is beautiful with amazing views but the drinks are really expensive so expect to pay for the privilege. We didn’t use the pool as it wasn’t warm enough but nice to have. Sun loungers can be booked at reception easily. All staff we encountered during our stay were brilliant, but especially Raquel on reception who was fantastic whenever we needed her. Breakfast had a huge amount of options, and as someone who doesn’t eat gluten, they were really accommodating and had a whole gluten-free station. Would happily stay here again!…
This hotel has a 10 in its name for a reason…it’s 10 out of 10. On arrival you feel the warm welcome of the lovely staff at checkout. Juan in particular being very helpfully, offering the upgrade of room for 10 euros a night and explaining the location of all the sites and how to use the Metro so brilliantly. We stayed for 3 nights. The Hotel is modern and has a lovely aroma to it. When you hit button 8 in the lift you feel like you have hit the Jackpot with the stunning rooftop bar and pool, giving the most amazing views over Madrid, great sun downers and the perfect place to top up the tan. The biggest park in Europe is located right behind the hotel and if you get up early and get a jog around it you won’t be disappointed. We only had lunch here as was exploring and eating out most nights, would recommend the ham croquettes, so tasty and reasonably priced. Next time I’m in Madrid I will be hitting up the H10 hotel for sure. WiFi works superbly across all areas of the hotel. Ps Great coffee shop opposite on the corner of the road. Thank you H10.…
I have been lucky enough to have stayed in many European city hotels but this one has definitely challenged my thinking somewhat as this hotel has plenty of likes! The location of the hotel is decent with a stunning park close-by that on a warm early summers day is 'simple easy digestible solitude' just a few steps away from the buzz of the Salamanca area of Madrid. The park has several cafés to rest, eat and have a beer aided and abetted with a boating lake and if you are lucky enough to bag a free seat on a Sunday morning at the bandstand you may encounter an orchestra of talented musicians playing a gig or to too! Now, the hotel - Superb. From the moment we stepped into H10 to the day of departure I (we) can only say top things about this hotel. The rooms we had were clean, fresh and comfortable and although our small window in the hotel had a view of practically next to nothing this shouldn't deflect from our enjoyable stay here. The staff we encountered were all exemplary and in not forgetting the cleaning/maintenance staff who go about their business brilliantly. But, like many visitors then I'm sure H10's absolute 'piece de resistance' is their stunning rooftop. The food, the buzz and the view is one to savour and this probably with the park topped our stay. I will easily recommend this place and if they have just 75% of what we thought of the place they will not be disappointed. …
We arrived at the H10 Madrid around 1:30pm and Hwan (really sorry if I’ve spelt your name wrong) the receptionist was able to check us in straight away! He asked us if we wanted to upgrade for 10 more euros per night and the room was much bigger and better! Hwan was very helpful throughout our stay and we would like to thank him for this! The room was perfect for what we needed, lovely and spacious, clean and good air conditioning. The beds were very large and comfy!! The roof top pool is amazing too! Yes it is somewhat small, a plunge pool, but it was perfect for what we needed as it was mainly quiet and sunbeds (all 8 of them) were mainly available. We arrived at the pool at 10am and stayed there until late afternoon. The views over the pool are unbelievable! 🌅 The hotel is very close to the famous Retiro park, it took us around 20 minutes to walk through it to get to the main centre! We used the metro a lot too which is just across the road! When we checked out we were able to keep the room for 10 euros per hour extra up until 5pm.. this was helpful as there are no shower rooms available and we had a late flight home. We would definitely recommend this hotel, even though it’s in the business area, it was perfect for us and we would definitely come back here again! Thank you to all the team at the H10! You’re doing a great job! Also a big shout to Ivana (again sorry if I’ve spelt her name wrong) she worked on the rooftop and was the most polite, helpful and friendly waitress we encountered on our trip! Thank you! 🤩…
Still here but had to write and say what a fantastic hotel this is . Room and facilities amazing but it is every single staff member that makes this hotel incredible. So helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Always cheerful and smiling. Don’t want to go home !

The room we stayed in was pretty basic and small but clean and was fine for what we needed (and we weren't expected anything extravagant). The pool was a great perk and there were great views over the city but it is very small and we were only allowed 1 hour on the sunbed for the day. The location is great, very near a park and not too far from the main city but we found the receptionists quite rude when trying to organise taxis.
