Very well located, perfect for a walk to Retiro Park, see the Puerta de Alcala, Plaza de Cibeles, go to: the Prado Museum, the Royal Botanic Gardens, the Puerta del Sol or Gran Vía, among other places. Breakfast is correct.

Don't expect a lot here. Very basic rooms and zero service. AC was broken at 35C outside and didn't get fixed over days. Upon checkout, the service shrugs shoulders, "ah well". Nobody here cares. Get an Airbnb instead, which will run at half he cost.

Stayed here with my wife while on business. This is a great place to stay. Located near parks, GREAT food, the subway and shopping. This place is almost perfect. The staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms were great and the beds comfortable. Loved the place and would stay here again.

Our short stay in Madrid was made a lot more pleasurable after booking this hotel. Just what we needed as a base. Clean, stylish, modern room with efficient quick check in. We had a room facing the road which did not cause any problems with noise. We liked it so much we will look for other hotels in the chain... More

I stayed in the hotel for 3 nights while I was in Madrid for business. Great location, quick walk to Retiro Park and accessible by subway too. Disappointing fare at the hotel restaurant though on my first night, was fed a raw burger but they fixed it. Also a mixup with my bfast (included but kept on telling me it... More

After a little mix up with reservations at another H10 hotel, they were kind enough to relocate me here which actually turned out to be a blessing because it's in a fantastic area. The room was small but clean and modern, the bedding was crisp, wifi was strong (and free!) and service was fantastic. I would not hesitate to stay... More

Good service, clean rooms, and good place for business meetings or conferences. Nice to be able to walk out of my room and step into the elevator that went directly to our meeting room. Meeting room was spacious and keep at a comfortable temperature.

Located just across the metro station and a few blocks away from Puerta de Alcalá the location is just perfect. Easy to come to and a very quiet neighborhood. When I got to the train station I realized I had forgotten my mobile, one call later and they took care of me, when I got back they had it waiting... More

The staff were the best part. We liked the hotel, but the beds where two single beds. They were kind enough to make the bed to make sure they didn't slide, but with a baby we were still uneasy. Over all a good stay.

Staying in Barrio de Salamanca

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio de Salamanca
Broad, tree-lined avenues with pretty streetlights frame the neighborhood of Barrio Salamanca. With beautiful condominium buildings that make up most blocks in this area, this part of town is refined and quiet. It is also host to a few of the city's large shopping avenues, including Calle Serrano and Calle Jose Ortega y Gasset. A walk down these streets will reveal upscale chains, small boutiques, and plenty of opportunities for shopping or checking out the stylish displays. The locals here are polished and fashionable, the atmosphere is leisurely, and the lush Retiro Park on the southern border is yet another opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. A stroll through Barrio Salamanca is all about admiring the beautiful architecture, window-shopping, and people-watching in this upper-crust corner of Madrid.
