This hotel is OK. It's close to San Bernardo metro stop so it's easy to get around. The reception staff were friendly and the rooms clean and tidy but I've stayed in better 3 star hotels. It just doesn't wow you. It's very plain and simple. I would suggest it's on the lower end of the scale for a 3... More

Well, this hotel certainly looks the part on first impression the rooms looked great. First initial problem was that I was hoping to pay in cash but the hotel said it was already paid when i booked it months ago. This was not true and I had taken out the money at a favourable exchange rate a month before so... More

I stayed here one night while on a work trip to Madrid. I've stayed in the Melia Fenix and the Intercontinental on prior trips and this one simply doesn't compare. It was very sterile and lacking in any atmosphere at all. The bed was OK, nothing special. I would not stay here again for work, but the hotel would be... More

Hello travellers, A few rants on this hotel so please bear with me. I arrived at this hotel a day before my partner and was told i could not check-in because my name was not on the booking, i apologised for not letting them know but was still refused even though i had all the documentation for my stay. i... Despite being slightly obscured by a (thankfully under-used) petrol station, the HN Alberto Aguilera certainly looks the part – a modern eight-story hotel that dominates a corner on Madrid’s busy Calle de Alberto Aguilera. Only 25-30 minutes from the airport (an evening journey, I might add) the hotel occupies a convenient location, being served by an abundance of taxis, and... More

I stayed in the Alberto Aguilera for 2 nights on a business trip. Overall it was just OK. The plus sides are it's in a good location, plenty of shopping on the door step and a Metro station a 2 minute walk away, the staff are friendly and helpful and the room was small but the bed was comfortable. On... More

My room was small, there were big damp patches on the ceiling BUT the bed was comfy, the bathroom clean and spacious. It was just a general ok!

My daughter and I stayed five days at the NH Alberto Aguilera and were quite pleased about it. The exterior looks some neglected but when we entered everything was OK. We booked a standard room so it was a little small but cozy. The beds are very confortable. They have pillow menu, so you can ask the pillow you want.... More

More

Staying in Chamberi

Neighborhood Profile
Multi-story residential buildings decorated with ornate balconies line the traditional, quiet, and pretty streets of Chamberí. Humble storefronts and neighborhood taverns are scattered across the lower levels down every block, and here and there, there's a cluster of tables on the sidewalk. It isn't ever crowded, but people are always out, poking into the tiny bakeries, hardware stores, and tobacco shops, or ducking into a bright, unadorned cerveceria to have a coffee or beer by the bar, flip through the paper, and check the sports score. The round Plaza Olavide, where the fairly regular network of streets breaks form, is among the most green and lively spots. Restaurants line its circumference and sought-after outdoor tables fill the center of the plaza, where people relax to the sounds of kids playing and street musicians' tunes.
