I've been here with a friend of mine. We were in Madrid to have a citytrip, so we've only been in our hotel to have some rest and to eat breakfast. The hotel was very clean and the staff was always very kind. Not all contributors spoke English fluently, but they've all tried their best to help us. On the... More

- this hotel is very well located, close to San Bernardo subway station. From that point, you can access all attractions in Madrid; - there are nice places where you can have the typical Spanish breakfast (tostadas con tomate y jamón ibérico) around the hotel. In the evening, you can stop and have your "tapas" at the same places, safe... More

Quick business trip in Madrid, nice hotel well located close to downtown. Just a note about some elements of the room that need a renovation, but the general opinion is quite positive. Sleeping was good, the room was very quiet

Relative decent pricing for people on a budget! I thought this hotel was great! right by the subway (slightly away from the centre) but the metro was easy to figure out. It's not a luxury hotel, but its a great 3.5 star hotel! Staff were very helpful and printed out our boarding passes. We were able to get a early... More

Quite overpriced breakfast for such hotel class. Sleep quality is terrible due to small and short beds and quite uncomfortable pillows and bed sheets. The location is relatively good and close to a metro station. The hotel is facing a very noisy traffic boulevard.

Again , when confronted with unusual requests , receptionnist acted extremely professionnal. Hotel is quite central , very close to the center and to Monclo , metro station is near, there are cafes and restaurants near - but in a quiet place.

We checked into this hotel at about midnight, I was glad that they had someone at reception to check us in. We only stayed one night as a stop off point between flights, but giving us an opportunity to see some of Madrid in the morning. The location was good and the room we had was great, with a lovely... The hotel is about a 20-30 min walk to Plaza Mayor/Sol. It is a 30 Euro cab ride from the Airport to the hotel. The room is average with free wifi. Breakfast, although good, was not included in the room rate which was unfortunate.

Staying in Chamberi

Neighborhood Profile
Chamberi
Multi-story residential buildings decorated with ornate balconies line the traditional, quiet, and pretty streets of Chamberí. Humble storefronts and neighborhood taverns are scattered across the lower levels down every block, and here and there, there's a cluster of tables on the sidewalk. It isn't ever crowded, but people are always out, poking into the tiny bakeries, hardware stores, and tobacco shops, or ducking into a bright, unadorned cerveceria to have a coffee or beer by the bar, flip through the paper, and check the sports score. The round Plaza Olavide, where the fairly regular network of streets breaks form, is among the most green and lively spots. Restaurants line its circumference and sought-after outdoor tables fill the center of the plaza, where people relax to the sounds of kids playing and street musicians' tunes.
