Location: very good for topical tourist attractions, near to metro station, near to market where I can buy everything and have breakfast (it was not included and it was very expensive) Service: very good. Nobody helped us with the luggage. Room: small, but no too small. In summary it is OK but not great but at the end you are... More

Dear guest, First of all thank you for taking the time to fill in your impressions. Thank you for mentioning that the service was very good. Indeed we do not have bell boy to help with the luggage as this kind of service is found in the 5* hotels or in much bigger hotels than ours. As in a lot... More

After two times at NH Hermosilla we preferred to try NH Lagasca for our last travel to Madrid. We think that Lagasca a bit more friendly and rooms with balcony are really nice option. Only problem is common wardrope and lavatory area .İf you are alone you will have no problem.İf you are a couple,it is a problem.

I spent two nights at this well situated hotel in the shopping area of Madrid . In a qiuiet street just off Calle Serrano . Close to great eateries, fabulous local shops & reasoably priced. The buffet breakfast was good & well organized. I had a standard room which was small but well organized with a large comfortable bed. However,... More

We are about to end our visit to NH Lagasca in a couple of days. For us, it is a near perfect hotel, very laid back, well located in el barrio Salamanca, great bed, well controlled climate, quiet room and spotlessly clean. They did charge a lot more days around the Fiesta Nacional holiday, but I assume that is because of... More

This hotel is located in a quiet street in the centre of a great area of Madrid. The hotel has a modern look and the greeting on arrival was very pleasant. The rooms are well appointed and clean. Whilst there is no restaurant for an evening meal, there are a number of excellent restaurants in the area. The breakfast buffet... More

This is a very well located Hotel. We were greeting by a nice lady when we arrive and she explained everything to us. Rooms were very clean and the AC in excellent condition. Bathroom and towels very clean. Good choice.

Price is right, rooms are small like any other European hotel. Breakfast is really good. Internet is not vey good and you have to get codes everyday from the front desk. Some of the rooms have no views as the windows open to an inside patio.

Inside facing room was small and box-like but clean and comfortable. Service good with broad breakfast buffet. In a good and quiet area with lots of shops and restaurants in the neighbourhood. Would stay again but would also review other options in the area.

Really - all good in my 1-night-stay in NH Lagasca. Clean, spacious room, full service and diversified, rich breakfast. Very close to Serrano area (more for business and shopping than for sightseeing). Nice and professional (although initially a bit slow) reception. The only "issue"? So many light switches in the room it took some minutes to turn off all the... More

Very disappointing. Great location, but with a low price that should have made me wonder what was wrong - and it's the poor service. We checked in early and did not expect a room, but luckily one was available but needed cleaning. The cleaning took 90 minutes!!! The air conditioning was not working, and never got repaired. (We were offered... More

Staying in Barrio de Salamanca

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio de Salamanca
Broad, tree-lined avenues with pretty streetlights frame the neighborhood of Barrio Salamanca. With beautiful condominium buildings that make up most blocks in this area, this part of town is refined and quiet. It is also host to a few of the city's large shopping avenues, including Calle Serrano and Calle Jose Ortega y Gasset. A walk down these streets will reveal upscale chains, small boutiques, and plenty of opportunities for shopping or checking out the stylish displays. The locals here are polished and fashionable, the atmosphere is leisurely, and the lush Retiro Park on the southern border is yet another opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. A stroll through Barrio Salamanca is all about admiring the beautiful architecture, window-shopping, and people-watching in this upper-crust corner of Madrid.
