We stayed here for 3 nights in late May during a good trip with Grand Circle Travel and had a very large room for being in Europe. It was at end of the hotel hallway (similar rooms probably on every floor) and the room was not rectangular/square so our bedroom had two corners not 90 degrees. The downside of this "unique" layout was the large bedroom had a comparatively small bathroom. The bathroom was actually dangerous. Try to picture the average size tub/shower with a swinging glass door half the length of the tub. This combination took up one wall at the far end of the bathroom. Outside the tub at the faucet end was the toilet which was about 6" from the tub. Facing it was the bidet at about 10" from the tub. Between them was about 18" for you to maneuver getting in/out of the tub while also dealing with the door which tended to force you toward the bidet. And to additionally test your agility the tub floor was about 1" - 2" above the bathroom floor so as you tried to clear the bidet on the way out, you also had to be prepared for a step down. AND there was nothing to hold on to! Throw in wet feet and it's hard to imagine that there hasn't been any falls. Interestingly, co-travelers in rooms not at the end of the halls reported their bathrooms were free of this trap. So, if staying here, get a room NOT at the end of a hallway. The room had a very adequate closet, a safe that broke and despite the hotel working on it, it stayed broken. The bathroom had a double sink which left very little counter space in this too small bathroom. Traffic noise was noticeable but also decreased not too late at night. This is also a modern type and well kept hotel with a good, friendly accommodating staff. We had no problem changing large Euro notes to smaller ones. The typical neighborhood around a large hotel, was clean, and seemed very safe. The breakfast was quite good and had several good choices. There's a bar off the lobby with both eat-in space and an outdoor eating area. The staff was friendly and easy to deal with. We would stay here again but would definitely be careful not to get a room at the end of the halls where they have an odd shaped layout.

Nice enough hotel. Nothing fancy, but it was clean and had everything we needed. I was a little disappointed in the "pool". The pool is difficult to find and is in an attached gymnasium that very large and was full of people working out on exercise equipment, with weights, etc. It seems to belong to a private gym that the Courtyard provides access to. If my kids went swimming they would have had to walk a long way in their bathing suits to swim and then drip water a long way back to the room afterwards. If you are into weight lifting / body building though, I suspect you will really like this hotel! Also, we don't really watch TV, but it caught my attention at how small the TV was. Didn't bug us, but if TVs are important to you, this might not be the best hotel for you.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and liked the location a lot. And the cleaning staff were amazingly courteous as well. However, check in was a little chaotic and parking was a mess. Additionally, there was a waiter in the bar/restaurant who has anger issues. He’s a lousy waiter and got mad every time we asked for a refill and shouted at us several times. I speak perfect Spanish so I told him to please just go away and stop. He would do so but then circle back around and start again. His name was Lorencio or Florencio, I don’t know which. The bar manager, Suzanna, was professional and soft spoken and tried to calm things over but in the end, she is responsible for her staff’s behavior. If you stay at this hotel, avoid spending time in their bar or restaurant. You’d be better served walking a block to a place that appreciates your patronage.

I checked in before my.husband and the staff were making me wait ages tossing me around, they made sure i know i have no importance as my husband is the member! Our room was nice and as big is u expect in madrid, however, a leftover stuff from the guest before us were in the room, some aminity kits and used shower cab. I made a mistake to cal sos instead or reception a d the lady was yelling at me cuz i didnt know what to dial (a week after my husband did same mistake in marriott dubai and they were so kind a lovely and didnt yell at him). This hotel is a joke, bad name for Marriott, its the worst courtyard i have ever been too and i live in hotels for the past 10 years. The only nice part is them giving u some lindt chocolate balls in the evening. I will never stay there again.

Reading other reviews I think this hotel gets a bit of a hard time which I think is a bit unfair. It’s easy to get to from the airport there is a metro stop 3 minutes away from the hotel, the hotel itself is in a great location easy to walk to the Palace/plaza mayor if you don’t want to use metro. Staff are nice, spoke excellent English very friendly and warm. The reception area/ lobby you can see is trying to be more MARRIOTT and I believe they have renovated some of the guest rooms, ours was not one of them but it didn’t matter. For a standard room it was huge, bed was comfy, shower was good and lots of storage, the style of the room was more traditional Spanish than MARRIOTT but this didn’t bother us. The breakfast was included and there was plenty of choice. If I was going to criticise anything I’d say they need more coffee machines as there was always a queue at all 5 of them. We also ate lunch at the hotel restaurant food was of a good standard and staff were attentive. I would stay here again it was perfect for a weekend break.
