Modern hotel, Staff speaks excellent english. Right next to a Starbucks and a supermarket, and subway stop. A nice 15 block walk to the old town area with museums and restaurants. Catholic Church just across the street

My nine year old daughter and i have really enjoyed our stay so far. We read the reviews and were a bit nervous. The staff are really friendly and take the time to answer questions. One man was especially helpful when i wanted to call a restaurant to have a pizza delivered on our first night. He dialed for me... More

Having stayed in Marriott hotels to my great satisfaction all over the world trusted this to be the safe choice - but terrible it was - bad aircon, worn out room. Never again. Helpful staff - but what could they do. Offered alternative room but same when checked.

Close to the centre of Madrid right next to a metro station. Reception staff a bit over-formal, though bar and restaurant very friendly. Large modern room that's well equipped. Quirky layout to the hotel, confused some of my colleagues! Didn't eat dinner there though breakfast very nice.

We booked 3 rooms for this hotel In January 2016. We booked this hotel for its location and because my husband is a Platinum Premier customer we asked to have rooms in the renovated section of the hotel and to be on the same level. The pictures shown are of the renovated area. When arriving July 2016 we arrived to... More

I spent 3 nights in Courtyard by Madrid Princesa Hotel in a so called "comfort room". I was part of a group and this is the only reason that I did not left the hotel after 5 minutes in the room. It is indeed a spacious room and has a sitting area-but seating on the broken coach is impossible, the... More

The hotel is near restaurants and shopping. The air-conditioning in the room was horrible. The hallway was much cooler than our room. We told the gentleman at the reception desk and they sent up a technician to check the problem. He stood on a chair and held up a device to the vent by the ceiling and said it was... More

Good location nearby metro. Walking distance to centre. Large rooms. Very good service in reception. Poor aircondtion. We hade two rooms. Too warm in rooms and will choose another hotel next time. Breakfast not included but got a special offer of 10 euros per person. Very good breakfast but good and cheaper alternatives outside the hotel

Staying in Malasana

Neighborhood Profile
Malasana
Hip bars and galleries, independent theaters and music venues, young people with tattoos and funky hair, narrow winding streets — this is Malasaña. Near the center, Plaza Dos de Mayo is a gathering of friends outside bars, dog owners, artists under craft tents, and creative types with notebooks and sketchpads on the plaza’s benches. It may not be as neat and tidy as many other parts of the city, but this only adds to the Malasaña edge. Shops and bars here range from hippie-crunchy to upscale trendy, and on weekends, the streets are bustling around the clock as the nightlife progresses from dinner to bar to disco to late-night food. On the west side of the neighborhood is the subdistrict called Conde Duque, named after a large pink fort in its center that has been converted into a cultural center for exhibitions and performances. Prettier yet just as edgy, this intimate corner of Malasaña is home to a young international community.
