The hotel is located about a 1/2 mile from the train station, so it is convenient. It is located short walk to important sites. Nice, clean, new furniture and bedding. The buffet was the best we had on our 16 day vacation. Room was a little small although bath was very large. No in room coffee maker which I think... More

This is a very good hotel situated within 10 minutes walk of a lot of Madrid's best tourist attractions. There is also a tube station about a minute away! The hotel is very clean and quiet and it also has a great little roof terrace with a small jacuzzi. It's 10 minutes walk from Retiro park which is an absolutely... More

Dear guest, thank you very much for you kind review. I think you're the first who talks about Retiro Park, it is really easy to reach it from the hotel and I personally suggest it to guests who like to go jogging at mornings. I'm glad you liked the roof top and the jacuzzi. I hope to see you back... More

While planning a trip to a medical convention in Malaga, we have discovered that there were no good connecting flights for this destination. Therefore we have opted to stop for the night in Madrid and take a train on the next day. We have arrived late (11pm). The service was excellent. We got a very quiet (as requested during our... Dear guest, thank you for sharing your experience. I'm glad to read that the stop you had to make because of the lack of flight connections between your country and Malaga turned into a comfortable stay in our hotel. Taking a train from here is really the best way to travel around Spain as our city is connected with the... More

I just returned from my first trip to Europe from Canada. This was the last place I stayed for 4 nights on my 11 day tour and it was a great way to end it. The rooms are not very large but are clean with wonderful washrooms. It felt good to have a large sized shower with rainfall option! The... More

This is an excellent hotel for a city break in Madrid. Location It is very well located within walking distance of most of the attractions plus it is only ten minutes walk from the train station. The two closest metro stations were out of service during our stay (and I believe they will not be open until November) but this... More

Helpful personel and great value for money. Located within walking distance on Madrid's Centre. Glutenfree breakfast was good. Jacuzzi on the roof was useful in August. It looked like they had just renovated the rooms.

Loved this hotel. Well positioned in Madrid to tour. Room was just ideal for us as a couple. It was the best customer service we have experienced. The staff was always helpful and the language barrier wasn't an issue. They always found a solution to any problems we had. Seriously will recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Madrid. Thanks for... More

This was our final stop on our Spanish tour and what a fantastic find. With no disrespect to the NH Atocha from our first night, I wish we'd booked this one instead. High quality in every aspect. Staying in Huertas

Neighborhood Profile
Huertas
Also known as Barrio de las Letras, Huertas was once home to prominent literary figures, Miguel de Cervantes and Lope de Vega among them. The neighborhood is committed to celebrating its rich heritage: Calle Huertas itself is inlaid with quotes from celebrated authors, street names pay homage to them, and second-hand bookshops pervade. Huertas receives a fair amount of spillover from the center — side streets around Plaza Santa Ana take on a foreign party atmosphere at night, and you always see young backpackers navigating the streets — but as you descend into the neighborhood, everything becomes a little more cramped and slightly less refined, and takes on more of an underground feel. Live music is at the heart of Huertas: by night, its subdued bars are ideal for meeting friends, sipping cocktails, and chatting quietly while enjoying jazz or singer-songwriter performances.
