5 Stars Service Great Hotel and very elegant. Excellent service and wonderful staff. The location of the hotel is wonderful. You can walk to all the great stores, Prada Museum and much more. Ee hired a Ritz private driver with Benz S550 to show us Madrid and it was wonderful. Wonderful concierge service and the breakfast included is the way...

My husband and I have stayed at the Ritz many times, and this time we decided to get a suite. They gave us a great deal, four nights for the price of three and breakfast included. Furthermore, getting a suite entitled us to pick up and drop off at the airport in a beautiful, spacious car. To start with, the...

The Ritz is a very luxurious hotel situated in the centre of Madrid with many major tourist attractions within easy walking distance. The rooms are spotless and spacious with everything you could wish for with the exception of tea and coffee making facilities which was a great disappointment as ordering hot drinks or hot water from room service was an...

We've stayed in a junior suite twice within a week last year. Everything you expect about a Ritz could be found in Ritz Madrid. The Goya restaurant serves surprisingly high quality dinner. We enjoyed ourselves during our stay at Ritz.

Our 2nd stay at Ritz Madrid was absolutely heavenly. Returning guests are welcomed with recognition and style. I love the feeling of staying in a hotel where they make you feel special and pampered. At Ritz we certainly felt like royalties. We were well taken care of by each and everyone from the staff. There were lovely welcome surprises waiting...

No it's not trendy, the rooms aren't huge or modern and you likely won't see the famous at the bar, but if you love old european belle epoch hotels, this is the place to stay in Madrid. I'm told the champagne selection alone is worth the visit, but if that doesn't do it for you, the proximity to the Prato...

Thank goodness it was cold out and the windows open. This is our third stay in the last year or so and the third straight room where there was no AC. The bellmen just said "lo siento, no funciona," again. I would give it a five if they would fix it...guess they are waiting for the overhaul of the place...

Hotel service is fantastic. Room service and breakfast are likewise excellent. The hotel is in a great location as every reviewer has already said. Best atmospheres and luxurious building. Small room and old building but still good quality. We really love breakfast. Location was perfect to us. Just next door from Prado museum. We went to cafe the concierge recommended and it was great too.

Staying in Paseo del Prado

Neighborhood Profile
Paseo del Prado
The area around the elegant Paseo del Prado boulevard is much-visited by both locals and tourists. The world-famous Prado, the Reina Sofia, and the Thyssen-Bornemisza museums form a triangle of art and culture that spans this grand and beautiful avenue. On weekdays, the Prado Museum opens its doors for free after-work hours, drawing a diverse and excited queue of art lovers that wraps around the block. Palacio de Cibeles and Círculo de Bellas Artes cultural centers are other artsy hangouts to check out, with rooftop bars that provide impressive views of the city. While the Paseo del Prado and its roundabouts form a busy throughway in Madrid, a broad green pedestrian park in the middle is a calm and gorgeous place for a relaxing stroll. Just east of the museums, the Retiro Park is always a confluence of activity as families and friends of all ages take to the pretty paths and lawns to stretch their legs or to have a picnic.
