The staff in this hotel are the nicest ever . Helpful in any which way and always with a smile. On top of it the hotel is perfectly located next to all museums and shopping malls Furthermore the hotel has it is own small museum with spectacular pieces next to the breakfast room ( were you are served as top restaurant). The rooms are big spacious with a blacony .. Great value for money, but mostly the staff is wonderful. Thank you for that wonderful experience
This is a brilliant hotel, family, dog and electric car friendly! Perfect position in Madrid close to fab bars, restaurants and sight seeing spots. Our room was fab, and the team have a habit of finding ways to exceed your expectations! The real highlight of this place are the team that work there. Simply the best 5 star service from reception and concierge team to the house keeping team. Amazing value. We will be back next time in Madrid. Thanks everyone for a brilliant experience.
Stayed at the hotel for a week of vacation in Madrid. The best aspect of the hotel is the location - almost anything that I wanted to do, whether it was museums, shopping, local parks, restaurants, pubs, bars and nightclubs - all of it was within a comfortable walking distance. I also had breakfast at the hotel, which offers a buffet style breakfast with table service for hot dishes. While not particularly big buffet, the food on offer was fresh and excellent. The hotel itself was very good as well, the rooms - while a bit old in their style, were good with comfortable beds and were clean. The hotel staff was very professional and helpful and assisted me with any question or issue I had. All in all, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great hotel in Madrid that also has a premium location.…
Stayed for 4 nights. The service was 10 star. The room was clean and big. The bedding was clean and very comfortable. From the front desk to the bellman, They were so nice and accommodating . Don't hesitate, book this hotel in Madrid.
I absolutely loved staying at this hotel. The room was very spacious, the bed was very comfortable. Everything looked beautiful, also the view from our room. The receptionist, Javier, was truly exceptional. He was really nice and gave us great restaurant tips for in the city. Me and my boyfriend are vegetarians so Javier told us about an amazing vegetarian restaurant. We went there and it was so good!! Javier also gave us his number for if we needed to know anything more. Service at it's best. The location of the hotel is great, all the attractions are accessible by either walking or taking the metro nearby. I loved it here! Recommended.
Location of this hotel was perfect, close to all of the sights and the lovely plaza Santa Ana just down the road which I highly recommend for drinks! The service was wonderful, there are always taxis out front and breakfast was well worth the price. There are 2 reasons for the 3 star review and why I wouldn’t stay here again. Firstly, this is advertised as a hotel with an outdoor pool and one of the reasons we picked it. However, the pool is actually in the sister hotel about 5 minutes walk around the corner which I think should have been made more clear on booking.com. It’s a nice pool, but way too small to accommodate guests from 2 hotels, so it felt very crowded even with just 10 people there. Secondly, as per a lot of the reviews, the room was very outdated, dark and difficult to navigate. There was only a very small gap between the foot of the bed and the wooden stairs going down to the living room area which we had to be very careful of when getting in and out of bed. The bed was super comfy and the room was clean, just think it needs some modernising.…
My go to hotel in Madrid. I wouldn't stay anywhere else. Wonderfully situated in the heart of Madrid. Walking distance to Sol, Plaza Mayor, the museums, Retiro Park. The staff is first class. Friendly and helpful. The rooms are beautiful. I recommend getting one facing the Plaza de las Cortes. Definitely worth the additional money to add breakfast to your stay.
We were in a duplex room (511) and the balcony is lovely but the room really dark, especially the downstairs sitting room - we didn’t use it once. The upstairs bedroom was actually very small and little room to move around the bed and very steep marble stairs to get up and down. The only wardrobe space long enough for trousers / dresses was downstairs and so up and down to get dressed. The bed was comfortable enough and the bedding and pillows were all good. The bathroom was dreadful, very old fashioned heavy and not enough room to get in and out of the bath/shower safely, you have to stand between the loo & bidet and the space is tight. The shower is very underpowered. Due to lack of mirrors/plugs in the right place the only place to do hair and makeup is the bathroom, not ideal with steam and electricity…. Finally, the welcome drink (described as a benefit of booking direct) is water from a jug that you help yourself to in reception! When I asked I was told this is correct and that there is also water in the room along with fizzy drinks in the minibar - not my idea of a welcome drink… The location is great, but we wouldn’t stay again.…
We had stayed at the duplex suite - amazing experience...10-20 min walks to imp spots like El Retiro Park, Plaza de Mayor as well as key avenues. Friendly staff, however not too many eateries / cafes nearby.
I stayed for two nights in May 2022, on business, and paid about 200Eur a night, excluding breakfast. It’s an older hotel, with hardwood, marble, and a very beige/brown colour theme. Feels slightly dated, but the location is amazing. Easy access to the main galleries, Retiro, great nearby restaurants and a 15min walk to Atocha station. Gorgeous view. All the amenities you’d expect; love a thick bathrobe and chocolates on the pillow:-). Only complaint is that soundproofing isn’t fab and my upstairs neighbours sounded like a herd of elephants in high-heels when they got in after midnight…. And for that reason, may look elsewhere next time.
