An excellent hotel for a good price, services and facilities. A centric localization near to la Gran Via. A lot of store, cinemas and mall. Nices building around with a good taste of restaurant. Well recomeded to every body.

Really loved this hotel especially the swimming pool area. When it is hot, you can go up and sit by the pool. Very pleasant. The location is excellent as well. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone

The hotel is located in the central area of Madrid. It is close to all the key areas like the palace, shopping centres, bars and restaurants etc. the staff are very nice and friendly. The pool is on the top floor which has a great view. It is also easy on the pocket. A great place to stay in Madrid.... More

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Good breakfast in pleasant basement restaurant, nice bar, but didn't have dinner in restaurant so can't comment. The rooftop bar isn't too exciting and the pool is small, so can get very busy. Get there early to bag a decent chair. The room's aircon was good, which was great in 38 degree... More

From the moment we arrived at the hotel the staff were very helpful and friendly, one man also showed us a map of Madrid and told us about the many great places to visit. The room was decorated beautifully and was very clean. The best part of this hotel is the roof top bar and pool, a perfect place to... More

My wife and I recently stayed 4 nights at the Hotel Santo Domingo, Madrid, in early July. We enjoyed the hotels modern funky design and décor. The staff were pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed the hotels location in Madrid. We looked forward to the roof top swimming pool, but on the two occasions we used it,we found the pool area... More

Cannot fault the location whatsoever, a 2 minute walk to the main strip of shops which is basically the 'Oxford Street' of Madrid, only 15 minutes to the Palace and close to the tube. The entrance is slick with a modern chic designed lobby and lovely bar/restaurant area though on the pricy side considering it's surrounded by a variety of... More

The location was excellent as it was close to the Metro and good restaurants. The staff were very helpful and the pool on the roof provided great relief when the weather got hot. Although we were in the heart of the city, the area was quiet. We both felt very safe in this area as well as we were able... More

First impression is that it is a lovely hotel and that is still my opinion unfortunately we booked an double economy and the room isn't great it's quite small bit is kept very clean by the staff but there are foot prints on the wall there is paint off several parts of the decor so it could do with a... Just a couple of things, there were 4 of us in 2 rooms and the standard of the rooms varied massively, my room had a threadbare carpet with huge stains on it across the room it was dark and a few... Staying in Centro

Neighborhood Profile
Centro
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
