This is a very big hotel near the Palacio Real. In fact some rooms even have a view towards the Palace, while the back gives on to the Manzanares river and gardens. It is conveniently located near Principe Pio Metro stop (line 6 and a line to the Opera). You could walk but it is hilly and steep. The rooms are... More

This hotel is next to the big park and castle. Shopping mall is also across the street as well as Metro which is convenient to the airport. The hotel is very tired and dark. But the bed was comfortable although noise neighbours and you can hear the steps! Still okay for the price if you get it on the deal... More

Negatives: The hotel was full of kids when we stayed there, and it was very loud day and night. The internet didn't work in the rooms, only downstairs in the hall. There was no fridge or electric teapot in the room. The blue button on the TV shone so bright we couldn't sleep at night. Spent some time figuring out... More

A two night stay here that we bought in a charity auction. The hotel is situated across the road from the Principe Pio station and about a 15 minute walk up a small hill to the Royal Palace and the Opera area where there are plenty of restaurants and tapas places. The rooms were clean and comfortable but very dated... More

People nock this hotel because they think its too old. It does need some updating, but the rooms are big, clean, and comfortable. Also, you cannot beat the location. It is across the street from a metro station, and also accessible by cab. It's a great value for the money.

Centrally cituated hotel in Madrid near the Metro and the pleasant park alongside the nice river. The bedroom had good space, with 2 separate beds, there is even a place / a shelf to put 2 suit-cases after each other. The Wi Fi functioned OK.Nice sitting-room near the Reception. Friendly people in the reception office. The buffet dinners were served... More

my wife and I recently stayed in this hotel-the hotel is very close to the train station Principe Pio the staff are very professional and helpful. The hotel is very dated and the bar is not very inviting to have a drink after a long day sightseeing. The rooms are big but avoid the rooms on the front of the... More

We choose this hotel as it was as much in the centre of Madrid as you would want with transport services the trains/underground are quite literally a stones throw away right over the road. The hotel it's self is fine it clearly needs an update as the hotels last update was in the 1970's, when it was built like the... More

The hotel is located centrally near a Metro-station which is very good. The hotel was clean, but everything is very old. I guess they haven't spend a nickel on maintenance since the hotel was built which sad for a hotel like this. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was ok, not good according to Swedish standard. So if... More
