Hotel has really excellent location! I would give it rather 3 stars and price a little bit lower but the location matters... Hotel is tight, rooms are tight and a bit stuffy but clean. Average breakfast. poor and complicated Wi-Fi. Good service! For one - two nights for city sightseeing it's ok, you won't spend too much time in bed... More

This is a totally refurbished hotel with a very modern flair. All aspects of the room was modern; lighting, bathroom, bed, windows and great free wifi reception. The check in was flawless with great staff. Breakfast is available for 10 euro.

The hotel is located directly opposite the Mercado de San Miguel and across from Plaza Mayor. The staff were very helpful and obtained tickets for the bus tour and the match at Atletico Madrid. The hotel is located conveniently for all the tourist locations and great food and drink.

I don't like to give bad reviews, but I cannot recommend this hotel. It was overpriced for what I have to describe as tacky accommodations. Our room's floor was squishy and damp because the shower is not enclosed and water has apparently flooded over and over again. On a positive note, the beds were comfortable, the staff was nice (very... More

The location of the hotel is excellent. Big bathrooms and towels. I would booke this hotel any time again. The only complaint was the aircondition that was set for winther time and therefore only gave hot air so it was like a sauna in the room. The staff in the reception was very helpfull.

It's been great to be in this hotel as the price is reasonable, the room was clean and modern, very good bed!, staff very nice, etc... only down side was the noice housekeeping made in the morning (our room was next to the supply room). shame there's no bar in the hotel, though there's plenty of bars in the city... This hotel is situated just outside Plaza Mayor, rigth in the center of Madrid. From the outside it does not look impressive, but the inside is very different. The rooms are very modern and functionally. The internet worked well. The only negative thing was that breakfast started a little late at 7.30. This was too late for my meetings.

Very modern boutique hotel, in one of the best locations in Madrid. I use this hotel regularly for business, but as a city break hotel, it would be hard to find one closer to everything you would want to see. Lots of bars, cafe's etc within walking distance, and all pretty good. Avoid the restaurants in the Plaza Mayor however... More

This hotel is a good choice for Madrid tourism. It is located near the Plaza Mayor, market San Miguel, and many of the major attractions of the city. Staying in Centro

Neighborhood Profile
Centro
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
