I spent one night at this hostal and had a very good experience. Other reviewers have commented negatively about noise and the bathroom facilities but I had no problem. I stayed in Room 35 as a single occupant and the bathroom was large with an excellent shower cabinet. The room is directly opposite the entrance to the hostal so I... More

Pros: - 5-10 min walk to Manuel Becerra Metro stop and there are several bus stops nearby - Several nearby shops and restaurants. Restos closes late at night. - Friendly staffs - Clean room Con: - bathroom are a bit small and seems like was built with only divider walls (which doesn't reach the ceiling) so it's kind hard to... Really well located and nice rooms with good service. I enjoyed living there for few days, it was really comfortable and the room were really useful. Moreover the way the rooms are disposed look like a huge shared-flat with individual room

Good location for a plane accommodation more than enough for a confortable stay in Madrid for a few days. I stayed in a single room with bathroom. The hotel was O.K. and well located. However we were unable to sleep due to the huge noise coming from other rooms and other floors of the building. It was very disturbing and disappointed. The bathroom is in a closet in the room. It is not a proper bathroom.

Clean and simple. Extremely noisy: bring or buy ear plugs or you will get no sleep. It's a fairly good... More

Staying in Barrio de Salamanca

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio de Salamanca
Broad, tree-lined avenues with pretty streetlights frame the neighborhood of Barrio Salamanca. With beautiful condominium buildings that make up most blocks in this area, this part of town is refined and quiet. It is also host to a few of the city's large shopping avenues, including Calle Serrano and Calle Jose Ortega y Gasset. A walk down these streets will reveal upscale chains, small boutiques, and plenty of opportunities for shopping or checking out the stylish displays. The locals here are polished and fashionable, the atmosphere is leisurely, and the lush Retiro Park on the southern border is yet another opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. A stroll through Barrio Salamanca is all about admiring the beautiful architecture, window-shopping, and people-watching in this upper-crust corner of Madrid.
