Good stuff..... Exceptionally clean Lovely helpful staff (secure bag storage available) Perfect location (there were some working girls in the vicinity, but were never any sort of issue) Spacious room with comfortable bed Value for money Even better if.... We had room B01 on the ground floor. There was a little noise on the first night from the staff kitchen...

Location is great as it the price! Would recommend to others for somewhere central and affordable. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby. Clean rooms, bathrooms are a little older but great powerful showers! Go for a room on the end of a corridor if you can as we noticed on our last night that the rooms aren't very sound proof...

The hostel is very well located, just one block from Gran Via. The hostel is between two metro stations with a short walk to either. The rooms are very clean and spacious along with the bathroom. It is possible to hear the other people in the hostel, as the walls are somewhat thin. The hostel has an internet area if...

Nicely priced, clean comfortable beds, good water pressure and A/C. Very close to city centre and we walked everywhere- Sol, Gran Via, Plaza Mayor. Lots of "ladies of pleasure" hanging around outside in the street so definitely not for kids! They didn't bother us so, didn't really mind.

This hotel is fair for the price in relation to the location. The hotel is all tile and the rooms are not sound proofed so you can hear when people walk through the hallways and are dragging their luggage as well as when the cleaning staff are cleaning the hotel. The room was large in size. The bed was terrible....

Pros: Good value. Close to centre. Room looked nice. They stored our baggage after checkout till flight (separate storage room and number system). Waiting room with access to wi-fi, computers and printer. Comfortable bed. Cons: Walls are bit too thin (we could hear night receptionist talking ; neighbours watching TV). Could have more comfortable shower.. Wi-fi wasn't very good. Street...

Staying in Malasana

Neighborhood Profile
Malasana
Hip bars and galleries, independent theaters and music venues, young people with tattoos and funky hair, narrow winding streets — this is Malasaña. Near the center, Plaza Dos de Mayo is a gathering of friends outside bars, dog owners, artists under craft tents, and creative types with notebooks and sketchpads on the plaza’s benches. It may not be as neat and tidy as many other parts of the city, but this only adds to the Malasaña edge. Shops and bars here range from hippie-crunchy to upscale trendy, and on weekends, the streets are bustling around the clock as the nightlife progresses from dinner to bar to disco to late-night food. On the west side of the neighborhood is the subdistrict called Conde Duque, named after a large pink fort in its center that has been converted into a cultural center for exhibitions and performances. Prettier yet just as edgy, this intimate corner of Malasaña is home to a young international community.
