I was really really happy for the great price and amazing position. But ...I was there for a week, they never changed my bad, in the bathroom i needed to clean the pipes so I don't have to stay on water all the time ( I hope they are happy now 😉 ) . Nothing else to say I'm getting...

Great location, 10 minutes walk from the Puerta del Sol and 5 minutes from the nearest metro station. The staff were friendly and at least one staff member spoke English. The room was well equipped with air conditioning, a sink, shower, desk, safe and a proper wardrobe. The cleaning staff came every day and did a good job. My only...

Stayed for 4 nights in a room with a pivate bathroom. The hostel has an amazing location in the city centre. The rooms are quite basic, but everything you would need is there. Plenty of really nice resataurants, cafes and bars are in the area, as well as shopping facilities. The tube station Gran Via is just 100 m walk....

Spent 2 nights in this hostel in a room with private bathroom. The hostel is very basic , small rooms and bathrooms, no view but is in a perfect location and we only wanted somewhere to sleep. Air con and free wifi worked well. It is great value for a city centre accommodation about £30 per room per night .Safe...

Nice hostel in the heart of Madrid. Walking distance to all the most interesting attractions. Plenty of skops and bars just few meters from hostel. Very nice and helpful staff. I stayed in 4 bed room with private bathroom. Room was equiped with towels, bed linien, air condition and TV. Only minus for lack of kitchen utilities. Free wifi.

Nice room in a high traffic shopping area near the Gran Via with air conditioning, Wi-Fi, t.v., and an elevator. There are plenty of restaurants, but most are fast food. But the staff doesn't speak English very well. The only thing worse is my Spanish. When we checked in the manager showed us the room and sign to place on...

I stayed at Fuencarral Kryse for three nights and was very happy with the place. I had a private room with bathroom which I found to be very clean. The location was brilliant, right off Gran Via and in easy walking distance to great nightlife spots. My only concern was that it was not a 24 hour reception (as was...

Staying in Malasana

Neighborhood Profile
Malasana
Hip bars and galleries, independent theaters and music venues, young people with tattoos and funky hair, narrow winding streets — this is Malasaña. Near the center, Plaza Dos de Mayo is a gathering of friends outside bars, dog owners, artists under craft tents, and creative types with notebooks and sketchpads on the plaza’s benches. It may not be as neat and tidy as many other parts of the city, but this only adds to the Malasaña edge. Shops and bars here range from hippie-crunchy to upscale trendy, and on weekends, the streets are bustling around the clock as the nightlife progresses from dinner to bar to disco to late-night food. On the west side of the neighborhood is the subdistrict called Conde Duque, named after a large pink fort in its center that has been converted into a cultural center for exhibitions and performances. Prettier yet just as edgy, this intimate corner of Malasaña is home to a young international community.
