In a nutshell, our stay at Gran Hotel Ingles on the final leg of a 10-day trip through Spain was the frosting on the cake of a fantastic trip! The hotel is tucked down a relatively quiet lane very near the Gran Via, and one likely wouldn’t expect to find a 5-star retreat there unless looking for it. It’s an exquisitely beautiful space, and the rooms are exceptional in terms of comfort and updated design; however, what really propels the Gran Hotel Ingles to the next level is the service…genuinely warm, attentive and enthusiastically accommodating. Every staff member we encountered, from reception, to the bellhops, concierges, and bar and breakfast team members went out of their way to demonstrate an earnest desire to be of service. Special kudos and gratitude to Sara Grajera, the front office manager, and Sandro, the bellhop extraordinaire, both of whom were extremely helpful when it came to selecting the best available room, making restaurant recommendations, and arranging for transportation. Alba in the dining room was a ray of sunshine each morning at breakfast (which was fantastic!), and Alex for his expert mixology skills and friendly and convivial conversation (along with Dee) during happy hour. All of these folks, and so many others (lest we not forget to mention the wonderful housekeeping staff who tended to our room twice daily) are such great ambassadors for the hotel and really the fabric of what sets the Gran Hotel Ingles apart from so many other 5-star properties. We cannot wait to return!…
Excellent staff. Everyone was warm and friendly.felt like we were staying at a friend’s house. The hotel is in a outstanding location, impeccably appointed. Gorgeous stay. We loved it. Wish I could give 6 stars.
Great hotel from A to Z. Great history of the hotel taken well care in the full restoration newly Fantastic service by the full team including front desk, bar man, breakfast room. Amazing rooms with all the things you need. Great layout of the room and bathroom
Amazing location and facilities, but the best thing is the staff. The room was very big, very well equipped, very comfortable. The Staff are exceptional in every segment, the level of service care and attention was simply impeccable, just perfect. Definitely a place to go to again.
Our second stay at Hotel Ingles and it did not disappoint! We stayed in the Meller Suite again which feels like a home away from home in Madrid. The suite has everything you could possibly need, we were gifted amazing treats through our stay making every day feel special. The trip was made perfect by the entire staff specifically the team in the lobby bar and breakfast staff! Every meal, cocktail and moment in the hotel was thought out and intentional. We can’t wait to come to enjoy a soak in the hot tub and a brilliant sleep in one of the most beautiful cities. Not to mention the location of this hotel is pure perfection, don’t skip this….book it! You won’t regret it.
A lovely hotel with the friendliest people. The location is perfect, the rooms are very comfortable and the bathrooms are luxurious. I also enjoyed the gym. Strongly recommend this hotel on your visit to Madrid
A very nice boutique hotel, a quiet location and with a lovely hospitality by staff. We had a three days stay for vacation in Madrid. The location is perfect to explore central Madrid. You will enjoy also nice food, wine and drinks. We can absolutely recommend this hotel.
My third time here - came back after Covid with my wife as I had such good memories: we were again delighted! We love the whole atmosphere that bringst you back a century yet still feels modern. The Lobby is a great place to hang out for excellent drinks. We love our room, especially the ultra-comfortable bedding, the spacious and well-designed bathroom, the many little details (like a real proper, wooden 1m long shoehorn, or different choices of bath foods, salts to enjoy a bath in the free-standing bathtubs in the room) And most importantly the high-quality windows to the lively street do truly block out noise even for se sitive sleepers like me, and the rooms do mostly darken (except the usual, annoying light from the emergency exit signs illuminating the room a bit at night - but that seems a Spanish building code problem). And all staff were wonderful, especially the concierge and Emanuella at the lobby. The location is amazing, don't get irritated by the a bit grubby look of the street, everything is really close. Only thing one might not like is the completely windowless restaurant with the rather narrow, uncomfortable (though stylish) benches - can feel a bit claustrophic, but breakfast itself was excellent. We love it here, and will be back when in Madrid. …
We were looking for a small boutique hotel away from the tourist areas and this hotel was perfect. Its small and intimate, tons of great bars and restaurants nearby and the service was outstanding. It really felt like we were in spain and not just another big western city. Can't recommend highly enough.
One of my best hotels stays n a long time, everyone was very professional and very willing to help us in our needs and requirements. Outstanding service and amazing group of employees, from the doorman to the lady serving the coffee!!
