Very traditional Spanish hotel but the public lounge is such a beautiful space. The hotel is quietly understated but we found the staff so helpful whenever we asked for help or advice even when I asked for a recipe for a cake served at breakfast!

This hotel is a beautifully-renovated 19th century convent. The cloister-like hallways have several comfy seating areas for some socializing, and a nice bar as well. Our room was attractive, with heavy Spanish wood appointments. The hotel is within easy walking distance to the town’s main square and multitudes of restaurants. The only drawback was that the towels were somewhat threadbare.... More

This is a 4* hotel and very comfortable and well situated close to the main square. We requested a twin bedded room and got two double beds in a room which was large enough to accommodate a settee and an armchair so we were well pleased. It was clean and well serviced and the staff were very helpful. The wifi... More

A lovely building. Can be noisy because of the courtyard structure. Unfortunately the staff have a view you are visiting at their inconvenience. At their restaurant, we were told we had to wait although there were only three tables occupied. The food was expensive and mediocre at best - three dried out lamb chops for Euros 20. One waitress for... More

This hotel was at the perfect location and the room was huge! Old, rustic decor, but it matches the building. We came for the wine festival. The staff was prompt at cleaning our room, which was great coming back to after the wine fight!

We had a room on the second floor which we found to be clean & spacious. This hotel has an old charm feeling to it and we were undecided if it could do with updating or whether it would lose its charm in the process. We were given the option to use the car garage or park on the street... More

Stayed one night in way from Santander further South but could have stayed longer. The room was lovely, the food excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful. Very old building that has been renovated with everything in excellent working order. Would definitely recommend.

We had reservations for two nights but had to leave after the first night because of the smell in the room, in fact all over the second floor, its smelled of sewer. I mentioned it to the housekeepers who just sprayed the room. I also mentioned it at the front desk and they sent someone but I don't think there... More

We stayed here for two nights. The courtyard interior is beautiful. The rooms were traditional, big and in keeping with the building. The hotel is in a good location for the restaurants etc and the wineries for the many tastings. The breakfast was 15euros pp. The breakfast was nice but the quality of the coffee was poor. Parking is 15... More

I've read some reviews for this hotel where they've stated that the reception staff were less than helpful. I don't know whether I've struck lucky- or the staff have amended their ways. Maybe the reviews were wrong? I have found the 2 men that I've dealt with on reception very helpful, going with me to the car park, carrying my... More
