The committee and performers of the Gibraltar Philharmonic Society always go to the Eliot hotel after the concerts. There is a wonderful atmosphere there, often with live jazz. The hotel kindly waits for us to close the kitchen so that we can offer our performers dinner after the concerts. We are always very well served by Jesús, The smiling waiter....

Generally the hotel is good but it is now at the stage where it is in need of some TLC and renovation as the interior is looking worn. Disappointed that during Late November there was a lot of building work going on in the upper roof area meaning the pool and associated area were closed off. Also as a result...

The hotel and room were excellent. Staff were helpful & friendly. The Christmas meal was not impressive. The Starter of prawns was good. The sorbet was excellent. The Christmas Turkey consisted of large steaks of Turkey, 5 very white potatoes (supposed to be roast), large slice of some sort of stuffing, really uncooked sprouts and carrots, swimming in gravy. Grandma's...

Arrived early afternoon checked in by a very welcoming and efficient reception staff. Some alteration work being carried out on top floor but this didn't detract from our experience. Room very spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and staff most helpful and friendly. On the down side housekeeping was poor and the room was not properly serviced. Entertainment in...

We arrived and were greeted by friendly staff. However, this is where our planned weekend away went in an unexpected direction. We were informed that the pool on the roof and the rooftop restaurant and bar were closed due to refurbishment. Furthermore there is extensive renovation work going at the front of the building and the sea view room my...

Have stayed here many times and found all aspects of the hotel adequate while a little tired. Stayed for three nights earlier this month - and was surprised to find that a major, much needed, renovation project was underway. There is ample explanation of work being carried out, impact to guests and services displayed locally. However, if I had been...

Had a weeks great stay. Second room was clean and bright. First room we were given had a joining door that we had specifically asked not for. Between 6pm and 10 am hotel was lovely, between 10am and 6pm you are staying on a building site with constant pneumatic drills. On one occasion I had to leave the hotel as...

Had a short break in Gibraltar to celebrate a couple of birthdays with my family. The room was of a very good standard (even though the hotel was having renovations). The staff were exceptional especially the waitress Jessica who made our stay very welcome and was always very happy, lovely and polite. The waiter from Hungary (who we named Atilla)...
