We detoured off the Camino for a day at the beach and this hotel was in our price range. Admittidly we were not expecting much yet we could not have asked for better. We ended up retiring our packs for two days we liked it so much. An old stone mansion converted 23 years ago. This "hotel" is really more of a very well cared for and loved guest house with a wonderful shaded back garden to lounge in. Owner Theresa lives on the premise and takes great care of the hotel and all who enter. The room although simple, was very comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was prepared byTheresa. The beach is indeed across the street. The grocery store a block away. Many local eateries within walking distance. We would definitely come back given the opportunity. PS-Check out the local Camino pilgrim wood carvings in the breakfast room - also the awesome replica doll someone made of Theresa!

We stayed here for a night when doing the camino, room, whilst dated decor wise, was immaculately clean with a good bathroom and great shower. Bed was comfortable and great blackout blinds. Staff were very friendly. The beach is directly across the road with a lovely walk overlooking the beach.

We spent a couple of nights at Hotel Playa de Vigo and enjoyed ourselves very much. The location is great, right by the beach and close to good restaurants (Timon Playa recommended). There's a supermarket right down the street and the beaches around this spot are absolutely beautiful! We are quite surprised at the quality of the beaches in this area. Our room also had a nice view of the beach. There's a nice courtyard/bar area in the back, simple but just right. The staff was friendly and were able to accommodate our English/Portuguese speaking! Great stay in a beautiful part of Spain!

What an awesome place to stay. It was rated as one star when I booked but had great reviews from other visitors so I thought I would try it. I normally stay 5 star but for sure this matches any good hotel I've stayed in. The owner Teresa could not have been more helpful, anything we asked for she was happy to help. Lovely little touch with the towels made into little swans with sweets on the bed, the rain shower and the gorgeous little garden to relax in. Lovely breakfast and a little kitchen area where we could make our own coffee if we wanted. Well worth staying here. Rooms very comfortable and extremely clean. And a bonus that the gorgeous samil beach is right across the street. Love it. If and when we go back to Vigo, we will only stay here.

I booked this hotel based on location and more importantly the Tripadvisor reviews. I was not disappointed. For a 1 Star graded hotel this was excellent. From the moment you step inside you can clearly see that the owners take great pride in the place. The hotel was spotless, really clean, foyer smelled immaculate as did my room. Nice touch having the towel swans with sweets on your bed every time the bed was made. Room had a fridge minibar containing cold drinks and chocolate bar. Doors could be double locked for added security and to access the hotel from the street a key was required to open the main entrance. It also has it's own rather large secured car parking area (again a key required to enter) next door where I left my rental car. Location was amazing, across the road from Samil Beach. Also a mini market within a 2 minute walk and bars close by. Overall I would not hesitate staying here again in the future.
