The service we got was just like it used to be in the olden times. Polite, no fuss, on time. Friendly, but not american pushy but rather than in the king´s castle. Room was clean as well as the corridors and other public places. Everything was in working order. Just a pleasure to visit them!

This stone hotel is below the large Almeda and near the Old Town of Santiago de Compostela. It is relatively small but immaculately maintained by the family of patron and son who give effortless service and courtesy. There is a small bar from which they serve the most wonderful fresh orange juice and endless coffee made on a proper esspresso machine, and a 'salon' behind it which is more like a comfortable living room. The bedrooms are small, even the larger ones, but the beds are not, and are very comfortable. All the furniture is real wood and the place is very well cleaned -- even the shower is immaculate, if a bit small. I would stay here again in a second if i ever go to Santiago again.

We stayed here while walking the Camino. While I did not take any photos of the hotel itself let me assure you it’s wonderful. Turndown service, very respectful staff who stood up every time you approached the front desk. Nice little place to eat in the am and a 24 bar/water service near lobby. Very close to the cathedral. Perfect little place with good juju.

At the end of 160km I really wanted to drop into a bed. I had this pre booked and arrived at about 1pm in sweltering heat. Having checked in the gent behind the counter informed me that my room wasn’t ready. Ok... he then proceeded to give me a bottle of cold beer and a plate of nuts while I waited. Top man! He was in fact the standard here. All the staff were top notch, a credit to the hotel. The room was tight, bed was a bit on the small side (I’m 6’4”) but it was spotlessly clean and well presented. Air con worked just fine and mattress was comfy. Breakfast was good, just enough, but there was more if you fancied it. Location is ideal, stones throw from the bustle but far away enough to be out of it. Loved the place. Well done.

Clean, comfortable and very affordable small hotel in an ideal location. The hotel is a short walk from the centre backing onto a beautiful park. The staff are helpful and polite. Thoroughly recommend this hotel.
