Well located and only a short walk to the old centre of Pontevedra with its narrow streets and interesting buildings. A modern hotel with reasonably sized rooms that are comfortable and well fitted. The staff were very helpful and even managed to dry out wet clothing from the previous days walk along the Camino. Breakfast was uninspiring but that is... More

This was my second time staying at Hotel Avenida, and I recommend it for all these reasons - very good price, very close to Praca Galicia and the historic town (across the street!), comfortable room, nice breakfast, nice staff. The room is clean. Very happy to stay there!

I was slightly dubious of the 1 star rating! Our room was a family room. It was beautiful with exposed brickwork, wooden shutters and amazing views. Fantastic location. Very close to all main sights. Breakfast was very good and on our last day as we were leaving early we had a packed lunch made for us. Staff were very friendly... More

This hotel is a great location for all of the attractions. We finished the Camino so we wanted to chill for a day and this was angriest place to stay for it. The staff are very helpful and it is close to the bus form the airport so it was perfect really. We booked through booking.com.

Spent 2 nights here with 3 other friends. The staff were friendly and very helpful. They helped with bookings and made good recommendations on where to eat and what to see. The rooms were clean and good value for the money,a good breakfast included and handy location. Would definitely return.

This is a lovely small hotel in the beautiful city of Santiago. Close to centre of city (about 5 mins walk) and all the tourist attractions. Spotlessly clean reception area, rooms and dining room. Staff friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again when I plan my next visit.

We finished our Camino trip in this hotel and the warmth and friendliness of our reception really gave us a boost. We agree with a former reviewer such a change after the hostels we had stayed in. This is a budget hotel but it has all the amenities you need, the beds are comfortable, it is spotlessly clean and you... More

I would call this a very nice budget hotel. After a month of hostels on the Camino, it was great. For its category, I probably should have given it 5 dots, but don't want anyone to think it's a luxury hotel. Very nice bathroom, has TV, bed fine. Here's what's great: the location is right across the street from one... More

We have been in this hotel in two different occasions, within 10 days. In both cases we were given the same triple room, with two large french windows facing quiet backyards and terraces. The room was spacious, cool, quiet and comfortable. No need to switch on the AC, even though the last day was really hot. We appreciated the soft... More

This is the second time my wife and I have stayed at the Hotel Avenida. The first time was after completing a part of the Camino de Santiago and we were thrilled with the hot water, clean sheets and comfortable bed. This time, two years later, we have looked at it with perhaps a more critical eye. The room decoration... More
