The hotel is relaxing, it is directly across the road from the old town area, so easy to get to. After arriving we rested before eating out that night. The breakfast was a buffet and sufficient as we were no longer walking that day. Breakfast did not start early. After breakfast all 33 of us headed out into the old town before returning at 13.30 to catch our coach to the airport. We found that we were having to sit up the stairs etc as the reception area is of modest size..

This hotel is well-located just on the edge of the old town, about 10 minutes from the Cathedral. You just have to cross the road and go up an alley and you are in the beautiful old part of town. It has wifi and is clean and comfortable, though when we checked in in the afternoon after a very wet last day on the Camino, the water in the showers was not very hot. My room had a heater which was very useful for drying wet clothes and boots, but was in the attic part of the hotel so had only a velux-style window with only a view of the sky! There was also a bath in my room. Breakfast was reasonable by Camino standards. While this is a very good choice if you're on a budget, otherwise I'd suggest rewarding yourself with somewhere a little more luxurious if you've just completed the Camino. Staff were helpful and friendly with good English.

For only 33 euros a night this was very good value. Room perfectly clean and comfortable. Heating and air con. Let me check in early. Organised 7am taxi to airport and gave me a breakfast package! Hotel is right in the heart of things too.

We stayed at hotel Avenida after completing 500 miles of Camino de Santiago. Needless to say we were in need of rest days! Hotel is conveniently located and easy walk to cathedral and many other sights. Room is basic but very clean and comfortable. We were on street side which is very busy but double French doors shut out most of noise. The continental breakfast was rather dull but sufficient. Hats off to their concierge, Maria. Always kind, competent and helpful. Great to see her smiling face daily. All staff were extremely helpful. Great deal for cost !

While not in the old town, the Hotel Avenida is located right on its edge. It’s also very convenient for catching or being dropped off from buses, running errands, and not far from the train station. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room I stayed in was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was included but, unfortunately, is only continental with below average coffee. The only other issue was that the air conditioning has only one setting, so during a hot day there’s no way to cool the room off faster or better. Lower floor rooms seem to have nice door windows. Overall, I enjoyed my stay. Thanks!
