Hotel Compostela is a downtown location, walkable to a large park, city square, historic sites. Our room (217) was nice and clean. It was very quiet considering the hotel location, possibly because our "backyard" view was of other buildings and rooftops. The hotel seems to cater to tour groups. We didn't find any relaxing bar or dining area. The dinner...

Spent two nights here at the end of our 5 week Camino. Great location on fringes of the old town steps away from bustling strips of tapas bars and shopping, 10 mins walk to the Cathedral. Lovely quiet rooms with comfortable beds, large bathroom and decent breakfast. The building has an old facade but the interiors are modern, with all...

Clean and modern hotel located centrally in the city. Very comfortable after our five day pilgrimage from Sarria to Santiago. Breakfasts were sufficient if unexceptional. Don't miss the pilgrims mass in the Cathedral as the swinging of the botofumeiro is a mind blowing yet moving experience. People are very friendly and food in the locality is inexpensive.

We had been booked into another hotel nearby at the completion of our 6 week Camino Norte to Muxia but checked out after 1 night because of noise and dampness. We walked into Hotel Compostela and and requested a quiet well ventilated room with an aspect. The receptionist was warm and welcoming and assessed at once that we were distressed...

I was hoping to stay at the Parador but they were booked. This was my alternative and it turned out to be great! The staff was friendly and it was actually pretty well located. I hung out at the bar across the street for a while. The breakfast buffet is good! I'd stay here again! Enjoy.

This is a old-new hotel, this is at the heart of Santiago and the Cathedral; close to restaurants and other attractions. Room were comfortable, Begona very nice and helpful. Very good Breakfast. If you have a taxi picking you up, good luck, there is not place to park.

This is at the crosstoad between new and old parts of the city. Everything seems to be within a 15 minute stroll so that's great. The major park is only 3 minutes away so relaxation is at hand. Breakfast is the standard for Spain so it must be average. The rooms are clean and well maintained but the standout for...

This is at the heart of SDC, next to Galicia square and at the gateway to the three main streets of the old town. Only a few minutes walk from the Cathedral. Very friendly staff. Cozy rooms, clean but basic in style. The room has only one plug available which is a problem. The breakfast is adequate. Location is the...

The hotel is situated at a very nice location. Helpful, friendly staff. The rooms are comfortable but still nothing special about them. I didn't like the coffee at the breakfast nor the pastries though there were a variety. Not high quality though. I wouldnt give it a 4 star and have been at a much nicer and pleasant 3 star...

Stayed in this hotel for three days at the end of my Camino Journey. But who are we kidding once you have done a Camino there really is no ending. The room had great facilities and very spacious bath which was most welcome. Could not find a laundry however and the cost for hotel to do it was quite expensive....
