This was our last stop on the Camino organised by followthdcamino as we were riding our bikes I would have expected a bike friendly hotel. Nope we were banished to the garage underneath to dismantle and pack up our bikes. Fine except the light kept going out and it was pitch black trying to find the light switch. We inquired... More

We booked this place through a booking website and there it's called 'delicatessen hotel'... This is a nice & clean place. The room we were in was rather small but I guess that's the 'price' you have to pay for being on such an excellent location. (Very near the station AND the inner city.) The beds are perfect and the... More

This hotel is recently remodeled with pleasant staff and modern interior. Some rooms are better than others from an arrangement standpoint - If your room is not convenient, they are quick to move you when space allows. Just 15 - 20 minutes from the Cathedral - Small restaurants and grocery nearby.

Friendly staff and a modern hotel however it's a 10min walk to the old town, there is probably better value to be found closer to the old town. The room seemed clean however I did notice ants marching across the table! There was a complimentary glass bottle of water on the table, when I went to open it I noticed... More

A very welcome last stop on our Camino walk. A lovely hotel with excellent rooms, comfy bed and a fabulous mini bar. Only downside was the shower but a very minor gripe. A quiet room with air con was just what we needed. Highly recommended.

We stayed two nights in the Hotel San Carlos after our walk on the Camino. The first night we were in a room just below the apartments where the woman above was giving trombone lessons until 9 p.m. and had her balcony window open and tapped on the floor. We were moved to another room the next night. The manager... More

This hotel experience would have been much better if they had closed the place during the renovation of the foyer. The place was literally a building zone around the front entrance, reception and the dining area. It was either covered in plastic, strewn with building materials and paint, or just covered in plaster dust. This meant buffet breakfast was not... More

We stayed at Hotel San Carlos for 1 night during a recent trip to Spain. We would highly recommend this as a good place to stay in Santiago de Compostela. ROOM • Our room was large and very comfortable. • The décor & furnishings were very modern. • The bed was firm and very comfortable. • The room was well... More

I visited Hotel San Carlos while I were at Santiago de Compostela for a conference that was held by the local University. The room was clean and the bed more than comfortable. The staff was very helpful and always tried to make our day easier. Even the cleaning ladies were very polite and willing to help us when we asked... More

This is a very interesting place to visit, many site to see, thing to find out and many attractions. The hotel is in fairly close walking distances to the attractions though a map is needed to find ones way about the area. If traveling by car be aware the parking for hotels are not always close and luggage movement is difficult... More
