A very friendly and clean hotel. As it is located in a quiet area and beds are also comfortable, I've slept very well. All bedrooms have their own bathrooms which is great. Shopping centre is very nearby which is good as I managed to get some last minute shopping. Quality sleep and stay for a cheap price. Will definitely come again.

I started walking the Camino Frances in Aug/16, having to quit after three days due to a left leg injury. This year, I walked for 7 days covering 100 km from SJPP before re-injuring the same leg. My plan, in this situation was to do as I did in 2016. I made my way to SdC as quickly and economically as possible and returned to the best Hotel I could ever stay in, the Hotel Capital de Galicia. What is most endearing is the level of care provided, without even asking. Once reservations were made, copies of boarding passes were printed and waiting for me upon my departure from the Hotel. My clothes were washed, dried and folded and delivered to me, no extra cost. Reuben and the Owner, his Father, have upgraded the Wifi and are ready to make your visit as amenable as they possibly can.

I dragged myself through the doors of Hotel Capital de Galicia at 5 AM after an all day and night bus trip from Pamplona after damaging my leg on the Camino de Santiago de Compostela. The Owner got out of bed to greet me and book me in for a couple of days to see if I could heal my injury, even a little. Did I sleep? Once I was able to get to be about 6 AM, I slept through to suppertime. Very comfortable beds. The rooms are quiet and well appointed and very economical. Rates are equal to some albergues that I have visited. The Owner is endlessly helpful. I asked if a boarding pass could be printed out and he allowed me to use his computer and printer to get the job done.

We stayed here twice recently after completion of the Portugues and Del Norte. After the Portugues it was a convenient 5-10 minutes to the bus for Oviedo and after the Del Norte it was one block from the Frances as it enters Santiago de Compostela; it's about 2 km from the cathedral and a block from a big shopping center with a huge supermercado. The room was fine and clean, and our hosts were very helpful. The price at €45/night was fine.
