The owner got into a big fight with us when we arrived with a bicycle after finishing El Camino de Santiago and we asked them to keep it someplace safe for us. They ended up kicking us out of the hotel and made us find another place to stay in town on a busy weekend. Crazy that people who own and run a hotel would be so hard inhospitable to guests from out of the country. I would never stay there again!

I had a lovely, spotless room in this charming historical district hotel. Could not have asked for better service or guidance from the front desk. It's a short stroll to the best restaurants (high end and budget), must-see sights, and unique shops.

With all the one way streets we drove round & round even using our GPS trying to find the entrance to the street. Finally a lady hopped in our vehicle to show us. When we finally got there we found the owner family to be very friendly with the daughter able to speak enough English. The room was on the third floor but there is a lift. Rooms are good & cleaned each day. Free Wifi but not in our room although OK just out the door. We had to shut the shutters on the window at night because of the noise of youths outside playing.

After 7 days of a hard journey doing "el camino" we finally arrived to Santiago wet, tired and excited. We had reservations at this hotel and we were received with a very unfriendly lady who told us we couldn't take our luggage to the room because it was dirty and wet. We started unpacking in the lobby, putting our stuff in a bag, when the son started to rush us. My 12 years old son asked me very frightened not to stay there so I told the guy we were not feeling welcome. He got really angry and started yelling and swearing and told us to "take your *** bikes and get out of here".

Good location and good value. The Hostal Pico Sacro is a small family run operation. I found the room to be clean and comfortable. There is some street noise when people are heading home from the bars but this would apply to all hotels in this area. The hotel is very close to the cathedral and resaurants.
