Oh dear. This is not a cheap hotel at this time of year. Nice location and in traditional part of town. But it is let down by the tutting, eye rolling, argumentative staff. We travel loads and are pretty adaptable but: dirty rooms, towels with holes in - on three occasions- a 'free minibar' which was only occasional bottles of... More

Stayed here at thecend of our Camino walk, very close to Cathedral and historic center. Room was very clean and tidy. Wonderful 24 hour breakfast bar! Staff was very helpful with recommendations for shopping, called taxi for airport and printed our boarding passes. Felt this was very good value at 87€.

This hotel is located within the old city of Santiago and is close to bars, shops and the cathedral. The room was small but clean and comfortable. The self serve breakfast was great and we could prepare our food as we like it. Staff were friendly and helpful.

My mother and I stayed in a twin room and while the room size is fairly small for two adults with luggage, the room and hotel were clean and comfortable. There is a 24 hour breakfast buffet which is great - bread, fruit, yoghurt, tea, coffee, cake and cereal. Definitely value for money in a good location.

We stayed in the Bonaval Hotel for two nights after completing the Camino. We were very happy with the hotel. The 24 hour Buffet arrangement meant we could come and go as we pleased. Our room was clean and bright. Since it was on the top floor we were quite warm despite the air conditioning. I would stay here again.

Arrived to Santiago early on Saturday morning, walked from estacion de autobuses to a warm welcome. My request for early check-in graciously granted. My room was in rear, one level down. Easy wi-fi connection. Great location away from bustle of town. Easy walk to centro historico via Rua das Casas Reais. Reception team the best. Enjoyed their breakfast room overlooking... More

This hotel did not disappoint! Good sized room with two beds, and wardrobe. A window faced a back street and could be opened to let in the breeze. The bathroom had a nice shelf under the sink. The only complaint was the lack of a lamp or overhead light over the desk. A non-working lamp and bathroom light were promptly... More

Pleasant, responsive, and helpful staff. Location is a nice 20-minute walk from cathedral (unless it's raining-taxi costs about 4.25 Euros) Parking nearby at 10 Euros/day (with voucher). Beds and pillows very comfortable. We had a couple of non-working lamps upon check-in but these were promptly fixed as well as other minor things.

This is not what I would call a fancy hotel. The rooms are fairly basic, comfortable, and well appointed. Unlike a lot of older European hotels there is a (small) elevator. The staff is cordial and the service is helpful and business-like. The included breakfast is okay, though the young lady running the restaurant will make you a delightful cafe... More
