We were pleasantly surprised by our visit to Hostal El Callejon. Our room was basic but clean and cool with a compact en-suite bathroom. It has a delightful courtyard where you can enjoy a coffee, croissant and more with two or three resident cats for company. There is parking although access is via a narrow alleyway so you'll need to... More

Bed bug city.Do not use room 8.no air conditioning. The bugs love it. The male receptionist is a moron or stoned out he's head. If the bugs don't get you the cat fleas will as there are lot's. And don't think on a good sleep as trains pass 20 metres away every 20 mins.

great location, beside the sea, 15 min walk into the old town, close to the train station, supermarket and bus stop outside the door. free parking is a real bonus! the rooms are loud, not related to the people staying there, its simply a creaky building, but good value, helpful staff and a lovely sunny courtyard make up for all... Clean hotel but basic. The breakfast was a really miserable affair, served by a unfriendly member of staff. Its very complicated as what your allowed to choose and that is very little and the quality was rubbish. Our kids cereal was stale and they also asked for cold milk and were given `boiling`milk. Very expensive for what we were given... More

Hostal El Callejon is a small property located on the outskirts of Tarragona. It's pretty simple, but comfortable and cosy as well, and for that price you don't expect more. It's close to a very nice beach (you just need to pass the tunal under the railway) and to the historic center of Tarragon, its less than half an hour... More

As a family of four, we stayed for one night at the Hostal El Callejon in August 2012. It was a basic and inexpensive place for a simple stopover, just over 5 minutes walk to a great sandy beach (the popular L’Arrabassada), and there are restaurants nearby too. The hostal is in a fairly modern suburb, but feels quite traditional... More

Not what I expected!! The hotel was a small private one and the reception was in what seemed like a converted garage. This area doubles as a breakfast room/lounge. Our room was very drab with low wattage lights and the wi-fi was slow. There was not hot water in the room for some reason so we had to use the... More
