i read all reviews and thought the bad ones were being harsh. we checked in and got thru the rather unfriendly front bar gal but when we returned to the room we realized the windows had been wide open when we looked at it and therefore the smell wasnt so bad. but since there isnt a safe either we locked...

Pluses: Hostal with great location. In the historical centre and on the square with numerous bars and restaurants. The room was very clean and cleaned daily. Good and modern facilities. Fast and friendly check in (in the bar). Lift. Minuses: Noisy at night. Window to my room faced a small street with a night club. Other possibility is a window...

We have booked here for two nights and were absolutely satisfied with the accommodations. The location was excellent just as we expected, close to plenty of restaurants and bars and to the beach as well. The Hostal doesn't have a reception area so the check-in process happens at the bar counter on the ground floor and the rooms are located...

Excellent location at a very low price, especially for those months when the weather is cold enough to allow for the windows to be closed at night, thus keeping noise levels from Placa de la Font down. Clean and bright room, though on the small side, towels changed daily, but no soap, shower gel or shampoo provided. No hair dryer...

I had a sweet tapa there with friends (the filmaduixa to be exact). Tastes as good as it looks! The service was great and the ambiance is warm. Very central and recommended. We had the tapa and a beer for 2.5 euros

After seeing some pretty mixed reviews we expected it to be very basic. The room itself was quite basic with two single beds comfy enough with a private bathroom with bath and shower. It was very comfy and nice place to crash after backpacking around Barcelona. The location is excellent with all tourist sightseeing destination is right around us. It...

Stayed here for 12 days using as a base. Room cleaned every day to a good standard. Clean towels every day. I was there in January and as it got a bit chilly in the evenings the electric heater worked well to keep the room warm (some evenings I had to turn it down or off) Centrally located and easy...

At just €50 for a clean twin room with private bathroom right in the centre of the old town, it's difficult to complain! Indeed, we had no complaints. I agree with some other reviewers that the staff could be more openly friendly, but in any event they were very happy to accommodate our request to keep our bags for a...

If you're looking for a central location, with a low price: it's great. Rooms are clean, bathroom are fine. Bring soap or buy locally. The staff could be more friendly. Beware: it's in the heart of a popular busy town, so be prepared for heat and noise. If you're not up for this, find a hotel in the outskirts.

Using sat nav it was easy to find the Placa de la Font where this hotel is located and to drive straight into the underground carpark. (If you get your parking ticket stamped by the hotel you get a good discount.) Situated at one corner of the placa the hotel is accessed through a modern newly decorated bar. There is...
