The hotel has basic amenities. It is not new, but facilities are functioning. There is no aircon (but you will not need it as the air is cool) and no TV. Towels, basic toiletries (shampoo, soap, toothbrush, tissue paper) are provided. The bathroom has both...More
Our pilgrimage tour brought us to this hotel literally beside the Abbey of Our Lady of montserat. Very close to heaven. A privilege to be near the Blessed Black madona, to kiss her and venerate her. A big plus is the experience the chanting of...More
If you want to spend the night in Montserrat, there are three alternatives: the pilgrims’ apartments, this hotel, and a small campground. We aren't campers, and when we booked, only an apartment was available. It was drab and the bathroom smelled, so we were delighted...More
Very friendly and helpful staff but that does not compensate for the stinky bathrooms ( we had to change but the new room was no better), hard, small beds and the noise. Bells all night then all the lorries in the morning, starting 6:30am. It...More

Hi sorry but I have just seen your post. We went in June and the weather was beautiful. We stayed in the hotel beside/attached to the monastery. A beautiful hotel but there was no air conditioning and it was very hot. We tried keeping the windows open but the monastery rang their bells all night on the hour and we found it hard to sleep. The view from our hotel was beautiful overlooking the courtyard. I am sorry I can not tell you what it is like in Oct/Nov. Goggling is your best bet. Good luck

I booked my hotel through a booking platform and my booking included the breakfast.I did not have a choice NOT to have breakfast included, so it is possible that breakfast is always included. I don't know what options you have if you book directly or on other platforms. A bed and breakfast place is usually more personal and doesn't have as many rooms as a hotel. Looking at this hotel, for me this place has more like a hotel character, so in this case there may not be a difference. At the end, it depends what you booked and what is included, no matter what you call it.
There are two public transportation options, the two rack railways (Funicular) which bring you to the Santa Cova and to the very top of the mountain. The other of the railway that brings you to Montserrat from Monistrol (the city at the bottom of the mountain). The funiculars are more touristic attractions, whereas the other train actually connects you to trains to Barcelona and other places. In my booking, none of the railways were included, but I didn't need it because I had a rental car. I booked a "Montserrat ticket" which included the funiculars, museum entrance, buffet lunch and an introductory video.
