The perfect get away ! well located in the center, walking distance from all important place. the staff is amazing, a special dedicace to Enrico who is efficient and so careful with his clients. Rooms are clean and lightfull the perfect WE !
We had an amazing experience here. The apartment was completely sound proof allowing us to have an amazing nights sleep. The beds were so comfortable and very big. The room was huge we were so impressed. We were also supplied with a kitchen and private bathroom. The kitchen was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was very big and very nice, the shower was amazing and caused no mess at all. The rooftop terrace was beautiful, such a nice place to look out over the city. The staff were also very friendly. The suites were located in an amazing location.. only a two minute walk to the beach, aquarium, shopping centre etc.. I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and I will most defiantly be back.
We had a comfortable suite on the fourth floor with a view of the marina. The staff greeted us and extremely helpful in places to go and things to see. Took plenty of time to answer all our questions. The rooftop bar and pool were under repair but we were accommodated in a nearby sister hotel. They took great care to make sure we were comfortable in both locations.
The staff is out of this world. They will do anything possible to fulfill your needs, especially Antoni., amazing guy!! Location is great, lovely area, walking distance to everything of interest in Barcelona: El Born, Barrio Gótico, La Rambla, La Barceloneta, The beaches, even the train station. Rooms are very spacious, comfortable, cozy, modern and fully equipped with kitchenette, utensils, fridge, microwave, etc. Stunning views from balconies. No brainer!
Clean, well-located, roomier than the typical European hotel, don't hear noise from outside, great views. Best part was the three guys who worked at the front desk. Couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful in terms of recommendations, arranging our covid test for return to the U. S. (which is no longer necessary), etc. Just an excellent overall experience. Very highly recommend.
Clean, a/c, friendly staff, double glass windows that blocked street noise, elevator…all a great experience! Small kitchenette and breakfast available at sister hotel around corner. Good location near harbor. Highly recommend here!
We enjoyed our stay here very much. We were pleasantly surprised at the size of the suite and the complete kitchen. The bathroom was huge, and the bedroom with day bed was perfect for our family of three. The staff was incredibly helpful, and managed to get us a house call for COVID tests early on a Sunday morning. There was a party on the roof deck so it was unavailable the first night of our stay. It was loud but ended at a reasonable hour. .The hotel offered us the use of and a drink at their sister hotel. The next night we enjoyed the roof deck and had a drink and relaxed while our daughter used the plunge pool. It is a very nice extra. We enjoyed the "grittier" location, which is close to La Rambla and very walkable. We were on the 5th floor, so no balcony, which would have been the icing on the cake! The toiletries were nice and plentiful; the towels large; the rooms clean. We will definitely stay here again.…
Nice rooms, very clean and friendly staff. The location is great for people new to the city and the veiw from the roof is perfect. Although they don't serve breakfast, there are so many cafés nearby, you will be able to find a table in the sun on a quiet side street or busy sidewalk.
We had a great stay at this hotel. The room was very big for the five of us with a nice kitchen, which was very practical with our young kids. The place was also perfect, walking distance to restaurants, beach and other beautiful places. The roof top is very nice with a small pool (just for cool down, not swimming). The bar is closed, but next to the hotel is a supermarket with nice drinks in bottles and also any other things you need. The employees were very friendly and thr daily cleaning is just great! Also breakfast was delicious - in the next building, a 2 minutes walk away in the sister hotel. We very enjoyed it to stay at this hotel. Thank you.
First the good... Staff is friendly. Location is good if you like the Gothic district of Barcelona. Rooms are large. But the quality and experience is in the details... The hotel and apartments are in different buildings. There is no night staff at the apartments (only at the hotel). There is no parking at Duquesa...you must park in the public lot across the roadway on the port. Important details if you arrive in the evening, as it took us an hour to check in at the hotel in another building, unload in a no parking zone at the apartments, navigate the red lights every 100 meters, then enter the long public parking lot, park and finally walk back to our room at 11pm...at which point we tried to enter the room and the card keys didn't work. Simple customer service focused solution for all this would be to have a night valet, that checks you in and parks the car for you...this is common in many other places, but is still missing in much of Europe. The rooms themselves are large, but average at best at this price-point. Clean but dated. Maintenance was average. Bed was just ok...one of those harder beds hotels use because they last longer. By way of comparison, we stayed at a 5-star suite in Torino, Italy shortly after with a similar large size room, updated, center of best part of town, extremely comfortable bed (supportive, not just hard), with valet and many more amenities for the same price. Duquesa was several notches lower overall. The Gothic district is considered "trendy"...which is code for "the more rundown part of downtown, completely covered in graffiti...but cool!" Many shops are out of business in this area and it is not well kept...trash and graffiti everywhere, ecc. The uptown business district if much nicer and well kept in Barcelona...but depends what you are looking for.…
