Charming, clean and bright. Liz and Tony are great hosts and made sure our stay was enjoyable. This hidden away gem is steps from the Metro and also near Barcelona-Sants if taking the high speed rail to other parts of Spain. The kitchen has everything you need and the separate bedrooms gives everyone their space. The family especially enjoyed the towel warmers. The plants around the entrance and up on the deck are beautiful. We highly recommend staying here if you’re planning to visit the sites in and around Barcelona.

Liz greeted us in haste when our cab arrived, saying she was starved and on her way out to a restaurant with friends and would we like to join her. She gave us enough time to drop our bags and then she marched us to La Lubina for their tasting menu. When we got back she did a quick and thorough orientation about must-sees and where to find things off the beaten path, made sure we were comfortable, gave us her contact info if we needed anything and then turned us loose. The place is exactly as illustrated and immaculate. Do make sure you have the right adaptor for electrical outlets. The outlets here are recessed and circular so if you have a square adapter it won't fit. And pay attention to her instructions on how the lights work at night in the entryway. No problems, just words to the wise.

My husband booked this apartment for a week as a birthday surprise and to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The patio was perfect, beautifully furnished and so cosy and comfortable. The small attention to details made it even better and we were made to feel extremely welcome by our hosts. It had everything we needed for a quiet city break and was very near to local bars and restaurants recommended by Liz, and thanks to her we found some excellent places to eat. A wonderful place to stay and highly recommended. We will definitely go back! Ben and Judy Curtis.

Really enjoyed a quiet neighbourhood and seeing how the locals live. This location is perfect to arrive at by train or use the Metro. Also handy to hop on hop off bus. Nice to get away from busy streets. Very spacious apartment, could suit two couples or family but also reasonable for a couple. Great hosts with excellent information.

The apartment is located in the centre of the city. However, it too close to Entença metro station. Also, many restaurants are within short walking distance, plus couple of groceries are nearby. Tony & Liz who own and manage the apartment and so helpful and respond quickly to any queries. The apartment is spacious and clean. Although the apartment is self-catering, the kitchen is well-equipped and has milk, cereals, coffee, tea, salt and sugar. There is about 100 meter walking from the main road to the apartment, as it is located within a compound.

I have stayed in Barcelona many times, but this has to be my favourite stay. The apartment was beautiful, very well equipped and meticulously clean. The location is great- right outside a metro stop. It’s also very serene and quiet which is lovely to escape the buzz of the city, yet close enough to everything when you need it. It’s just a few metro stops from all of the tourist areas. Great restaurants and supermarket near by. The rooftop terrace is a lovely quiet area. The hosts Liz and Tony were incredibly welcoming and friendly and very helpful. They left us alone but were at hand if we needed anything. They left a lovely bottle of cava in the fridge as it was my birthday. There was tea, coffee and milk and water in the fridge when we arrived- which was most welcomed after a very hot journey. I will undoubtedly be returning to the Patio- thank you for a fabulous stay.

Stayed here for an opportunity to meet up with old friends, lovely apartment, with a peaceful roof garden. Best area to stay in Barcelona, loads of lovely bars and restaurants within walking distance and easy to get train/metro too and from the airport.

Your hosts are keen to please here.Tea bags, coffee and milk are waiting for you plus maps, restaurant advice and in our case, a brolly and a pen as well !. The apartment has some character with its brick walls and stone tile ceiling.Comfortable beds and really quiet at night. Quite spacious rooms and of course the patio gives an extra dimension. No views but hey it is really all about the location. The metro is literally across the road; get a prepaid ticket and zip around the system to everywhere.

Just returned from a fantastic 3 days in Barcelona with 2 friends to celebrate their special birthday. The Patio had been recommended by a friend & we are so glad it was! In a quieter part of town & easily accessible to both the Metro & Sants station. Spotlessly clean, as charming as it looks on the pics & with friendly informative hosts it was a perfect base. Liz & Tony were very helpful, great communication before we arrived & they also very kindly arranged for a birthday cake & cava to be there on arrival, as a surprise from me to my friends (great choice of cake Liz, it was lovely!). Liz & Tony recommended the bus tour which we enjoyed & some great local places to eat, one of which we got delicious takeaway pizza & pasta to take back to The Patio to eat. I wouldn't hestitate to return as we have only scratched the surface of this wonderful city. Thanks so much Liz & Tony I look forward to returning.
