Barcelona is very big and busy and so it was wonderful to stay at Ana's Guest House B&B, a lovely oasis in the midst of the city. Both Ana and her daughter Natalie were gracious and welcoming. Every day we were greeted warmly and offered a wonderful Mediterranean breakfast of special breads, cheese, dried fruit, nuts, yoghurt, coffee, juice and... More

Situated in a residential area and part of the 19th century expansion of Barcelona.Lovely big room with nice bathroom and a wealth of period architectural details. Good quality furnishings. Lovely breakfast room and balcony. Ana and Natalie went out of their way to help giving us advice on where to go and even alerted us to the St Joan festival... More

Ana and Natalie took excellent care of us (13). We rented the whole B&B for several nights, and were treated like friends. The B&B was perfectly located within walking distance to Sagrada Familia, La Pedrera, Batllo House and 3 blocks from Garcia, it was also conveniently across from Verdaguer subway stop. We will return at the next opportunity.

It was my second stay with Ana's and I will still choose there if there is any chance I'm going to Barcelona again! The place was well decorated, cozy, clean and well located, which is in walking distance (15 mins) to three Gaudi's houses: Casa Mila,Casa Batllo and Sangadra Familia, and just one minute walk from metro station is you... This little gem is amazing. Natalie makes you feel so welcome. Nothing is too much trouble, she took the time to sit down and advise were you should go. No sales ploy. It was truly home from home, so relaxing. Breakfast was simple yet enough to get you off to a good start for the day. Rooms comfy and clean.... More

We spent five days with Ana and Natalie and enjoyed their welcoming hospitality. Their helpful suggestions with booking tours or explaining how things work in town made our stay most enjoyable. Rooms/beds were great.. Disregard the smell as you enter the building as it is only located in the foyer leading to the apartment. Five stars for hospitality. Thanks for... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
