Stayed here a few nights in February. Room with internal facing window. Reasonably good standard room, not too small. Staff were friendly and all speak English. I didn’t try the pool, but it did seem to be open. Nespresso machine was topped up each day by housekeeping. Fridge with minibar, but you can put your own stuff in. Air con in the room, adequate. Small tv with Spanish tv stations plus uk news. Good storage space. Digital safe. Spacious en-suite with good hot water. Very comfortable bed, slept much better than usual. The airport bus leaves you just a couple of minutes walk away, (2nd stop from airport) and to get the return bus, A1 or A2, the stop is a street behind the hotel. February 2023, price one way is €6.75, and you can pay on the bus with credit card. A cheaper bus 46, stops about 10 minutes walk away, this is just €2.40 each way, but obviously a bit slower as it stops at every stop en route. Location is good, about 10/15 mins walk to centre of city including Las Ramblas (bit of a kip, imagine O’connell street Dublin with all the people from temple bar, cheap looking outdoor food and tacky restaurants, shops , and bars. There are plenty of food stores nearby and Barcelona has a good range of gluten free restaurants, one in particular is Copastetic, around 20 minutes walk from hotel, excellent range there, great food and lovely staff and reasonably priced.

The hotel is well located, the staff is very welcoming. The swimming pool is a plus! However, the room was noisy despite the fact that it did not overlook the street. We were woken up by music from the next room, the vacuum cleaner during cleaning in the room across the hall, the elevator etc.

Spent four nights here mid March 2020, location of the hotel is fantastic, literally a five to ten minute walk from the main Las Ramblas area. Great selection at breakfast and lovely outdoor space in the roof.. I would have given the property five stars but just have a couple of bug bares... Firstly we upgraded our room and paid a little extra which was fine and glad we did, however one of the bedside tables was covered in sticky pop can rings and the floor was all sticky next to the bed, I wiped both the floor and bedside table and the wipes were filthy leading me to believe that these weren’t cleaned following the last occupants stay and ours, I’m sure if I’d have raised it at reception the team there would have sent someone to clean it, however this is basic hygiene that we would expect to be done first time, also don’t book any tour bus tickets at the hotel, go to the info centre in the main square - We enquired about tour bus tickets at reception but ended up paying more (a reservation fee, ie commission) and still had to go to the info desk in the main square to collect them anyway, so spent more and didn’t actually save us any time! Don’t let these bug bares of mine put you off though, the guys in reception are all very friendly, and super helpful.. The hotel is very nice for the price and definitely in a great location..

We booked this hotel to stay a couple of days after a 12 day cruise from Amsterdam to Barcelona in September 2019. We arrive very early after disembarking and we’re able to leave our luggage in a holding space until we could check in. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. They directed us to a great café where we could get some breakfast and wait until we were able to check in. The recommendation for the café was great.
Once we got to our room (on the courtyard side of the building) it was simple, spacious, and very clean. It is also very convenient to the elevator. The courtyard side was very interesting since it opened up to a neighborhood of apartment buildings. It was reminiscent of the movie ‘Rear Window’.
The other wonderful feature of this hotel is its location. For the next two days, we walked everywhere since it was so centrally located to various main streets and plazas. This happens to be a five-year-old review and of course many things may have changed except for the location, but if they haven’t changed their service and cleanliness, I would highly recommend this quaint boutique hotel in Barcelona.

A lovely hotel just off the placa Univeritat, for easy access to the metro and therefore all of the sights in Barcelona. About 10 minutes gentle stroll from the Placa de Catalunya and las Rambles. If you have not been to Barcelona before the I would highly recommend using the official Tour busses which depart from the Placa De Catalunya. I took the company that offered the red route (Southern) and Blue route (Northern). Some of the sights get particularly busy such as Sagrada Familia so I would buy tickets well in advance of your journey. I bought the bus ticket on line which was a simple and easy process and took the 48 hour option to do red one day and blue the next. The trips were fantastic and added some spots to my agenda for the few days I was there. I also purchased a visitor travel card which cost £28 for four days unlimited travel on the metro busses and trams and was well worth it. Barcelona itself was quite busy , particularly on Las Rambles (wouldn’t go there again especially) but the gothic quarter was beautiful and the port set up was fantastic with the Americas cup racing taking place whilst I was there. The views from the Olympic stadium were amazing and gave one an idea of the scale of Barcelona. If you run or walk then it is a great trip from Espanya metro to the top (or take the 150 bus ! ) if it rains then Las Arenas de Barcelona is worth a trip, a converted bull ring with restaurants on the top level. I ate at Mussol on the top floor and my meal of two glasses of wine , a bottle of water , two tapas starters, totato bread and a main of botifara brassa and coffee afterwards came to €34 so pretty good value in my book. I ate in several local restaurants during my stay, there were plenty to choose from within a 10 minute walk of the hotel , but my favourite was La Taberna de la Ronda cerbeceria at Ronda sant Pere, their menu was awesome , very traditional spanish food and polite and efficient staff, and a great meal with a couple of drinks for around €40. The hotel itself was pretty good with very friendly and efficient staff, the rooms were clean and spacious by European city centre hotel standards, breakfast was good and they have a rooftop pool and jacuzzi. If you fancy a beer or a glass of wine there are numerous bars and restaurants within a five minute walk and for those who want to converse with english speaking foreign travellers then I would recommend Scobies Irish bar on the Ronda de la Universitat where an eclectic group of travellers from around the globe seem to converge. I met Americans , Canadians , French , English, German and Irish travellers all keen to chat and share tales of their adventures and background.

Comfort room clean and spacious. Cleaning was done regularly. Comfortable bed. Spacious bathroom, as well as shower!! Powerful and rejuvenating jet after a day out. The only flaw was missing the broom next to the toilet. The double glazing of the windows perfectly isolates the room from street noise, but the interior walls are thin and sometimes you hear voices and noises coming from the adjacent rooms. Overall it was a great stay!
Central location, great for walking. The road to reach the center is quiet and easily accessible even in the evening. Well connected to public transport (bus to/from airport and metro)
Friendly staff and attentive to our needs, possibility of luggage storage even after Check-out.

Overall fantastic value, €500 3 nights 2 people with breakfast. Room great we stayed in a room with balcony on 4th floor, small balcony, double doored to reduce noise. You could hear road a little but not enough to keep awake. Air-conditioning great. Location great, staff very friendly. Breakfast was basic but kept well stocked. Pool was small but ample just to cool off. Would return .

We recently stayed at this hotel and it was horrible. We arrived at 9pm and the room looked nothing like the pictures, it was outdated, dirty, so incredibly small that the bedding got caught in the door and it smelt really bad of weed.
We complained to the reception staff and asked to be moved to a room that looked like the one we booked. He apologised and did say that they have received lots of complaints on the room before but he couldn’t move us as the hotel was full. We then asked for a refund for the entire stay and it was only then that he agreed to let us switch rooms in the morning.
When morning arrived we went downstairs with our suitcase to move rooms and a different member of staff was there. He said he wouldn’t be able to move us to a room that looked like the picture without an additional charge as these were the premium rooms. We explained to him that this was never stated on the website nor were we told of the additional charge the night before. Again, we asked for a full refund and as a compromise we were shown a room that was still outdated but larger than ours.
This room was still awful. The rooms are outdated, the bed was flimsy and my feet overhung at the end (I’m 5ft 6). The air conditioning was broken in both rooms and it was incredibly hot. The bathroom was dirty, we found a toenail and a wood louse and the shower temp was either extremely hot or cold. The walls are paper thin, you can hear everything and even feel the walls shaking when other doors in the corridor are used. Another room on the floor ordered room service at 1am, the walls are so thin that we thought it was our door being knocked on. The rooms and corridor both smell strongly of weed and smoke.
We were offered a complimentary breakfast for one of the mornings which was 18€ EACH and very basic. Cold baked beans were left out uncovered.
The only good thing is the location but honestly the worse hotel we’ve ever stayed in.

I like the hotel. It has a great location on a beautiful street near the subway and a bus stop, you can come directly by airbus from the airport to the hotel without reaching Plaza Catalonia.
Delicious breakfasts (cheese, ham, fruit). Bad Internet. The room is normal.

Me and my partner visit Barcelona at least two times a year because we have friends who live there. One evening we came back to our hotel with two of our friends only to be told this was not allowed! I think the receptionist name was Josh or begins with a J that we could not have any guests in our room. I explained that we have had guest in our room before, but he said that must have been during the day.
He explained that paying customers can only have two guests. I explained that they are two guests apart from me and my partner who booked the room!
He did not make sense and could not justify or explain himself this.
This was my second stay in this hotel but I would never stay her again because of this and the fact that the breakfast is not great. They a buffet but leave cold baked beans on the side for people to eat with no lid on it and not kept under heat, plus the smell of weed around the corridors is disgusting.

You can ask the staff for anything. They gave me directions every day and brought me whatever I needed. Did not request it, but I'm sure that they have it for free.
Yes. There are towels in the room and at the pool. We borrowed some to take to the beach with us. All toiletries are there too, and are replenished daily.
There are more places to choose from in the Barcelona area.
