A modern hotel that still gives hints of the past with the stone walls on some sides. It is clean, functional and in a great location just off Las Ramblas. The 'air con' didn't really work so we were hot most nights but apart from that it was a lovely hotel. Breakfast was only €5 extra for us (we booked... More

Car park was ridiculous. Poor access, poor lighting, poor location. Parking was extra as was breakfast. We paid 132 pounds for one night. No bar and the staff were not helpful. Location was the only saving grace. Right next to las ramblas. Never again!!

We recently stayed at this hotel and sadly must say it was not an enjoyable experience at all. In all our travels, we have never experienced the paper thin walls that exist in this hotel - 3 of our 6 nights there we could hear everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, happening in the room next to us. We even moved... More

I and my partner, have recently returned from a short trip from Barcelona where we stayed at this hotel. We where greeted by, a not very helpful receptionist when asked we had booked an early check in due to just coming of a cruise. We would like to rest before going into the city the reply was, the room not... More

Booked this hotel through a BA package deal as it was central to all of the attractions and close to La Ramblas Very pleased with the level of attention, courtesy and helpfulness of the staff who all speak very good English. Can book excursions through them at no extra cost to tickets available online etc so very helpful to skip... More

Hotel is quite pleasant in it's design. The staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms have ample space and air conditioning. They upgraded us to a superior room with a balcony. Only flaw would be that the walls were a tiny bit thin, so we could hear the passions of some fierce Spanish lovemaking of our neighbours in the next room.... More

This hotel is a couple of minutes from the hustle and bustle of La Rambla, so a little quieter. Probably a little over priced for what you get as we paid for a superior room that didn't include breakfast. Although it could be bought for around 8€ each. Lack of tea and coffee facility in the rooms was another let... More

We had 2 rooms for a party of 4 of us on the third floor and enjoyed every minute last week. The staff were very courteous, impeccable and dealt with all our requests admirably. The rooms were clean, comfortable and more than adequate. We were able to fit our bottles of water and milk in the room minibar. We left... More

Hotel is ok, but only that. You pay for the location, which is great. Hotel on its own is not in the best shape (except renovated lobby area). Sound isolation is really bad. Anybody walking and talking on your floor sounds like its in your room. Noise of cleaning lady from next room was waking me up each morning. Wifi... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
