It's a great hotel in a great location. Staff are very friendly and accommodating, especially the gentleman who worked the afternoon/evening shift as he was always so smiley and pleasant. The room was lovely and we even got a room with a balcony which was great. Would recommend this hotel and return.

Although our room was small it was a perfect base for us with a comfy bed and great shower! We had a street facing room, on the 4th floor, which with the window open was quite noisy. However, with the window shut, you could hear a pin drop. We didn't opt for breakfast, instead we went to B J taverna... More

We've stayed in Barcelona a few times in higher grade hotels but this is by far the best. Friendly, helpful staff (good suggestions for eateries) and spotlessly clean. Room cleaned and linen and towels changed daily. The area gives you a real feel of authentic Barca. Lots of interesting bars and cafes etc. Despite some previous comments we did not... More

After reading reviews I was a bit unsure what to expect but from the moment i walked in I loved it. Lovely welcoming, very happy reception man, checked us in & said we could move rooms in the morning if we wasn't happy with it. The room was small and we did consider moving but your only in there too... More

Nice hotel with a central location. Only about 300 meters from La Rambla, and as soon as you step outside the hotel you feel the Barcelona vibe with cafes, shops ect. To the price I will defenitly recommend it

This hotel was great for us, convenient to la Rambla, Placa Catalonya, and transportation. Room was a reasonable size and spotlessly clean. We found it quiet as we had a rear room on the ground floor with a small sitting area out back. Staff were very helpful on all occasions when we asked for help.

Just back from a four day trip and the hotel was dead on, great location, spotlessly clean, the room was spacious, the bed was huge and comfy, the staff were all very friendly and helpful, only thing was the cleaners were banging about from very early, but hey no biggie, if you like your sleep bring earplugs because our room... A very fine hotel. A short distance from all tourist attractions. The hotel is in a busy street. The room has no mini bar. Everything was neat and clean. The reception was open 24 hours and very friendly and welcoming.

Tiny room, but we knew this when booking. The hotel is really close to everything - short walk to the Rambla, Placa Catalonya, Universitat - metro. The streets in the area are really cosy and full of small bars, restaurants, right next to the Barcelona Museum of Modern art.

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
