This is the 2nd Acta Hotel we have stayed in and I prefer this one, is central, easy to get to the Bari Gothic La Rambla etc...... Rooms are clean, towels were very good, large , soft and fluffy! We overlooked the street which could be noisy with the window open but we had the aircon on, even in April...

Just returned from 4 night room only break in this little gem. Was a little apprehensive about location but it's vibrancy shines thru. Nice welcome at reception by Marc. We were in a superior double 5th floor overlooked dog park and MACBA building. Could be noisey with skate boarders at times doing their jumps but hey its all part of...

This little hotel provides just what you need for a tourist break in Barcelona. Two blocks away from La Ramblas, you can then stroll to most of the City's main attractions. The hotel was clean and the reception staff friendly and helpful. We were instantly given a free city map and had key places highlighted for us. Our room was...

We stayed here for 10 nights, the hotel and rooms are very clean, well maintained and the rooms are cleaned daily. Clean bathrooms with excellent water pressure in the showers, never ran out of hot water. The hotel is located on a busy side street in El Raval walking distance from the gothic quarter, many shops and restaurants. If you...

I booked through the official website but my card didn't go through. I then had several emails to ask for more card details to be sent via email which I wasn't comfortable with so I requested my original booking to be cancelled and I'd rebook. I heard nothing back from this hotel to confirm anything until they email me to...

A 3 night stay in this hotel, situated in a vibrant backstreet, 10 minutes walk from La Ramblas. Hotel very clean, rooms cleaned daily. Buffet breakfast only, however plenty of restaurants nearby, in fact bar/restaurant virtually next door. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Cold drinks available and tea/coffee available 24 hours down in dining area. Lift available to all floors....

We really enjoyed the stay!! Everything was perfect, and the stuff was very kind. It's also best located, near shops and the center. It is clean and modern an you have a coffee machine for free, and some teas. The wifi worked very well. The only thing, we didn't like was the noise of the cleaning lady... she started too...

Ideal for a budget, short city break. Pros - hotel and room was very clean and modern, ideally located for transport links, site seeing, bars and shopping, very comfortable bed, hair dryer, shampoo, shower gel and towels provided, lift to all levels. Cons - small rooms with minimal storage for clothes and toiletries - hence not particularly recommended for long...

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
