My sister and I stayed for 3 nights, we were nervous as we had read some terrible reviews but we were so pleased. It was in the most fantastic location. Our room had its own bathroom and an internal window. Im glad it was so basic, made us go out and explore! The beds were comfy and clean. The shower was... I had 0 expectations due to reviews and photos on trip advisor of this hotel, but I have been pleasantly surprised. Not the place to go if you are expecting perfection and stylish mod cons and luxury. It's a great located clean, basic and friendly hotel for people who want to be in the middle of the fun. This hotel is very basic. We booked for 3 nights for our grown up family of 5. We had 3 rooms. Two overlooked the placa real and one over the Ramblas. Although it is very clean and the staff are very lovey and helpful it is very old fashioned. The bedding is like something from the 70's and the towels... More

The rooms are small, beds are not comfortable, only the location was good... that's what you get for the price you pay, but next time would prefer to pay more for something little bit more comfortable..

Positives: The hostel is very well located just off the main street of Barcelona in the touristic area. The staff were helpful and friendly. Not so good: The shared bathroom often had a lot of water on the floor and only one roll of toilet paper. You need to look up in order to find the sign for the hostel,... More

Ill-tempered receptionist, cigarette ashes in the shower cubicle, dusty furniture in bedroom, not enough toilet paper in shared toilet by night, zero soundproofing. Of all these, the receptionist was the worst factor. She has an attitude problem.

A wonderful location to stay with some rooms on La Rambla & the other on Placa Reial. I had a nice terrace to sit out on looking at the view of Placa Reial & all the action there. Very nice helpful staff. Comfortable bed, full length double window/doors opening out to the terrace, soundproof. Quaint, but very tired. If you want extras like... More

Terrible rooms. Smells of stale smoke. Owner wanted way too much personal information to register. So very disappointed. Avoid this place. There are much nicer places at similar rates nearby. Just wish they had rooms available because I would switch right now.

We were given a room on the top floor, that we called a 'Secret Annexe'. Literally, after taking a lift, we had to carry on walking and take the side staircase to get in the room. Room itself was shabby and the blankets on the beds were kind of old and did not look good. However, for the value we... More

We didn't arrive at the hotel until 12.30am and so had to pay an extra €15 but they did state this on their website so it wasn't a surprise. When we were shown our room both windows were wide open and freezing! The man quickly closed them thinking we wouldn't notice, it quickly became apparent to why they were wide... More

Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
