We stayed at nisia b and b not knowing anything about barcelona at all and found ourselves in a great neighbourhood. Both Laura and Matteo were happy to help us get an idea of how to get around and what was in the area. Generally we went everywhere by foot which is why this bed and breakfast was a great... More

The place was quite a breathe of fresh air and served as quite a homely, warm and relaxing retreat after strenuous chaotic days on the streets of barcelona. The location is also in quite a unique and harmonious neighbourhood and the people who host you are very professional and very supportive. We were directly dealt by Mateo who not only... More

Finding a reasonable place to stay in Barcelona is a challenge. Nisia B&B is a great solution to this problem. The communal space is lovely, simple and clean with a small traditional terrace to the street. Rooms are private, clean and comfortable and feel like you're staying in a friend's guest room. Nothing fancy, but perfectly adequate. If you want... More

We stay in this lovely apartment for an amazing week in May. This place is really perfect, the location ( in the center few steps from everything....), the rooms are very nice with ensuite bathroom, free wifi and air conditioning, also the owners are polite and helpful and help us to discover and enjoy the real Barcelona. Definitively we'll come... More

Had to climb three floors of stairs (no elevator), very narrow, especially for two seniors to climb. Room was not what I expected. Shower head was full of hairs from other people who had stayed there. No television in the room. Shower was so small that I almost did not fit in it (could not move very well). Air conditioning... Dear Jose, first of all I like to remind you that you booked a small B&B maybe you don't know what it means, but tens of people love our place because it's a "real" place and not a 5 stars hotel where you can find "different services" but also "different prices" and atmosphere. When you speak about a place you... More

Choose Nisia if you like to say in the City center with short distance to most things! It's a fairly priced B&B run by a lovely couple (Laura & Paolo). It's perfect to reach from the airport through the Subway and very close to most interesting spots! Just around the corner is a nice square with lots of local restaurants... More

It was a pleasure to stay in Nisia - you feel the welcoming atmosphere from the first moment, and the friendly and service minded host, Laura and her staff, is the key to the good vibrations at this place. The rooms are quite small, but the big advantage for such a small hostal is the private bathroom in every room.... More

We thought this place was a real "winner". Laura and Paolo are excellent hosts.. There is a lovely communal area looking out over the street - we'd been on the road for 2 weeks staying mostly in conventional hotels and especially appreciated having a comfortable communal area we could relax in and make a cup of tea etc when we... I was just there for 5 nights, and as I had some semi-business appointments in Gracia, the location could not have been better. (Also in walking distance to just about anything else you might want to see or do in Barcelona.) The room was nice and bright, the bed very comfortable. Most importantly, since it faced the back it was... More

I stayed here for 7 days with my girlfriend. The place is very close to public transportations and in 15 minutes you can reach every spot in the city. If you like walking, Sagrada Familia is 25 minutes away as Picasso museum and the Ramblas. The place is not huge, they have a nice little apartment on the roof and... More

Staying in Gracia

Neighborhood Profile
Gracia
Gracia literally stands out from the pack. It used to be an independent town until late into the 19th century. Though it’s just a short commute away from the center, a visit here feels like you’re in a whole different city. The bohemian vibe has drawn many international artists to this area, resulting in a wide selection of galleries, live music and artsy boutique stores. The nightlife is centered around the vibrant Gracia’s plaças, where young and old gather to enjoy a drink outside. Carrer de Verdi, its main street, offers affordable restaurants and a movie theater that screens new as well as classic films in their original language. However Gracia's greatest treasure lies just up the hill at Guell Park, where Antoni Gaudi's vibrant and revolutionary art sculptures stand atop unequaled views of Barcelona.

“The living room/kitchen is at the front of the house, at the Passeig de Gracia, which is a busy street, but the rooms are in the back and quiet. We could vaguely hear the metro beneath the city, but I suppose that you can hear that anywhere in town.”
