Aside that the smell of the room was a bit disgusting, this does not depend on the hostel staff. They were so nice with us and always there for any doubt we had. Breakfast was really good because it was not expensive at all (2€ per person) and there were lots of things to eat. We also have to say...

Amazing location just steps away from a metro stop and several Gaudi attractions. The hostel staff was friendly and super helpful with tips on the neighborhood and restaurants. Great place to stay for the price.

Hostel was basic but had a great location which was what I was mainly looking for. Free wifi was only available in the reception and canteen which was somewhat frustrating, there was a premium service that could be purchased throughout if you wanted however. Purchasing drink and breakfast tickets from a vending machine and then exchanging at the bar was...

The atmosphere wasnt good, there werent any happenings in the hostel. The hostel is really big and there is one common room where people dont really hang out, they just used computers. The bathrooms werent clean. The breakfast is good for 2 euros. Location is great, excellent. Staff is ok, friendly.

Cons: Dark and dirty sheets. Snot on walls. Very unsafe feeling. No atmosphere. No atmosphere in common rooms. Good thing was cheap breakfast. Generally untidy and unclean in common areas and in room.

Came here regularly many years ago and it is the first time i have returned for a while, delighted to say it is still a great hostel with lovely helpful staff and exceptional cleanliness. I am also really pleased that having to rent a blanket isn't a thing any more and it is included :p

Very well located, friendly staff but they won't go out of the way for you, nice decoration, lovely breakfast included (especially for a hostel!). The dorms are just average, but the common areas are very interesting. Stayed for 3 nights. At the time, they charged extra EUR3 for blankets.

I was moved from Equity point see hostel to Equity point Centric hostel due to constructions. The builiding has a good location, good view and light. It is kept clean mostly and people at the reception are helpful and nice and also speak good english. The breakfast buffet is for sure something to try.

Stayed at the Hostel for two nights the hostel is centrally located to most architectural landmarks by famous architect Antonio Gaudi like Casa Batlo a minute away ,Casa Milla also close by and Sagrada Famillia within a walking distance ..but my main concern was having to pay extra to have internet access in your room with the free wifi only...

The hostel has no atmosphere. If you are a British tourist I wouldn't recommend booking here. Staff at front desk are lazy to say the least and don't keep basic things like phone chargers etc. If you do book, then book 14/16 dorm as the 8 man didn't even have a plug in the room

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.

“The rooms were basic with one en-suite built into the room (perhaps a larger communal shared bathroom on each floor would be more convenient and prevent guests having to wait for someone to finish?)”

“I stayed in a 14-bed room. It was quite ok, facing to the street with 2 glass doors. With balcony but doors were locked so it is not possible to go out but view from the room was nice. Room was not as squeezy as I have imagined. Lockers available in the room, will need to use own padlock. Each bed has own outlet which is a plus. No door for shower, is only a water-proof kind curtain to cover up- Hot water fucntioning well.”
