Stayed here in November, great hotel, very central, location is perfect! Room was clean and quiet at night time. Breakfast could have been better but still had many choices. Staff were friendly. Many restaurants in nearby area.
Just had to write a review. Great hotel. Very quirky & value for money. Had a great online deal through hotel itself cheaper than all price comparison websites. Had free breakfast & water. Quiet & comfy.

I went to Barcelona in Nov. 2017. The Hotel is perfectly located to explore the touristic heart of this amazing city. Close to the harbour and only a few steps from “La Rambla” you are in the middle of the things. Connection to the subway...More
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local
musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.

Hi Kathryn, Hotel Medinacelli has about 5 floor levels with two street facing sides. The streets are generally not busy....both pedestrian and traffic wise. The front of the hotel overlooks a garden square. All buildings in this area are about 5 storeys tall, so no city views. My room had an opening door which faced the side street...no balcony as such. I'm not sure if the hotel guarantees rooms with street views.
