Check in: I'm from the US, and went to Morocco before coming to Spain. For some reason, in the BCN airport, I couldn't withdraw cash, and both my credit and debit card were blocked. My international SIM card also wasn't working, and what should have been a short travel day took 14 hours. This is all to say - by the time I made it to the hotel, I was tired and very stressed. The hotel had put a one night hold on one of my credit cards a few days prior, and I asked if, based on that and the difficulty I was having with my cards, I could check in and sort of my cards and pay the balance the next day. I was told 'no, you must pay now.' I was given the wifi password, and told to figure it out. I was not offered a place to sit, water, help calling my bank, anything that would have made the experience less stressful. The lack of empathy was astounding. I did finally get checked in, ordered room service, and went to sleep. the next day, I left at 10 am, and came back around 3, to find that the room had not been cleaned. At all. I tried speaking with the manager, both about checkin and that I was upset about the lack of cleanliness - and he was nice, but not helpful. Just said the hotel had 'the highest standards'. Bathroom: Dark, shower has a 'high tech' set of sprayers, but they don't work, also the stopped/drain was broken. Bathtub wasn't clean. Bed: Uncomfortable, cheap pillows, scratchy sheets. Room: Some areas weren't clean - desk and bedside table were sticky. I cleaned it myself. Instead of traditional blackout curtains they have an automated blackout feature which is LOUD. you can hear other people opening and closing their's. I also had gaps in the wooden planks - and din't work very well. Everything is 'hyper modern' but from a few years ago - and is not easy to use, and in some cases, just broken. Example - you can chose to change the temperature on the thermostat by making it warmer or colder, but you can't just turn it off. …
The hotel is centrally located - restaurants and bars are in close proximity. The famous Sagrada Familia is in walking distance and approximately 20 minutes away. The hotel offers a roof top pool including bar. The staff is friendly and supports any request. We used the hotel for a one-week team meeting and enjoyed all the amenities of the hotel. Highly recommended for a business or leisure stay.
No better place, to feel welcomed. Live very pampered and be very close to all points of interest, restaurants and shops. The staff makes all the difference. They do go above and beyond in making customers very happy and welcomed.
Granados 83 is a well-situated hotel in the Eixample on a pedestrian-friendly street surrounded by many restaurants and cafés yet within easy walking distance (15 min.) of central locations (Plaça de Catalunya and the Ramblas). The hotel's contemporary design is attractive, including a rooftop bar and small plunge pool. Rooms are on the smaller size, as is typical throughout Barcelona, but are well equipped with a minibar, robe and slippers, toiletries, flat screen TVs, safe, and truly comfortable beds; mine also had a small balcony with table and chairs overlooking an inner courtyard. Soundproofing is excellent, both from street noise and other rooms/plumbing. While there is no business center as one might find in a US hotel, a computer and printer in the lobby are available for use. The staff goes out of their way to assist guests and to make sure that their stay is enjoyable. I've stayed at Granados 83 several times and can attest that the level of service has remained consistent, as has the warm welcome extended to guests.…
Today is our last day at the hotel, we stayed here for 7 days. Hotel is perfectly positioned. Walking distance from all attractions. The neighborhood is safe, you have a large selection of restaurants nearby for all meals. As well as for an evening out. We can say all the best for the hotel staff. Friendly, helpful. The hotel is clean and has everything you need for a pleasant stay. We traveled with a dog, the hotel provides food bowls and a bed for the dog as well as a welcome package with toys and sweets. We were really pleasantly surprised by that gesture. We had two double rooms, one with a terrace which is great for morning coffee! Greetings to the hotel from guests in rooms 402 and 408.
Everything was great! Very clean hotel with helpful personnel. The breakfast was the same every morning however the good selection and warm meals made it delicious every time! Only the internet connection could be improved.
We’re in-house at the moment and this hotel is fantastic. The rooms are great ( we’re in a duplex suite ) the location is excellent with so many good restaurants in an easy walk. The area is ideal , close to everything and you feel very comfortable and safe. The best part of the hotel is the staff. They are all quite amazing. Very helpful, very friendly and are totally making this stay a wonderful experience.
Good staff, excellent reception, great breakfasts. Very convenient for all parts of Barcelona. About 20-30 restaurants and bars - all fantastic places - within 200 yards. If you want a trouble free place to stay this is a good choice.
The room and hotel are great and centrally located. However you can hear every sound from outside and every door shut - especially when other guests let their doors slam shut. Otherwise we had a great stay.
Great quirky hotel. We stayed in a family room with a shared terrace. Unfortunately we were only there for one night so never managed to use this. The staff on reception were incredibly friendly and helpful. Location is great and breakfast while not vast was good quality.
