Like a perfect cafe on a side street,
the We Hotel is one of those places you don’t tell people about for fear that it will be overrun.
Well I’m going to go out on a limb because places like these deserve to be mentioned and applauded. To start, it’s an elegant flat that has been reconfigured and modernized into a really awesome boutique hotel. Through a massive front door that you walk up a few flights to the hotel. They buzz you into a beautiful main room/reception area that smells wonderful—can’t really describe it other than to say it smells like when you go into a really exclusive shop. We were welcomed by Joshua who showed us our room that has a charming balcony overlooking the street below. The room itself was very nice—high ceilinged and well designed, with a comfortable king sized bed and very nice tiled bathroom with HUGE bath towels, two sinks and a opulent shower. The next day’s breakfast was awesome with cappuccino, fruits, eggs, toast, etc. Much more than I expected and delicious. I loved this hotel, which gave me so much more of the Barcelona experience. But by far, the best part of the experience is Jean and Joshua. They were so accommodating and kind, I can’t wait to come back! Tips:
1. You can walk to everything from here.
2. I love this hotel but if you’re handicapped it may be difficult—but not impossible—to navigate.
3. Tipping is appreciated. Five Euros per person per day more or less, is GREATLY appreciated and, in my opinion, extremely well-deserved.
4. This is not a hotel chain, so please adjust your expectations accordingly. If you do, you will be rewarded with a hotel that will be a huge part of your Barcelona experience.

Located very near Barcelona’s Arco de Triunfo with many restaurants, supermarkets, and shops. A nice little boutique hotel with hospitable, friendly, and helpful reception and room service staff. Only 6 total rooms with one junior suite. It on half of a floor of a 4 (or 5?) story residential building. With only one elevator for 4 slim people; it’s “old style” with steel accordion and steel push/pull doors. It works.

We stayed overnight in the junior suite. We are a family of 4 adults and 2 slept on the queen size bed and 2 slept on the pull out sofa. The bed was comfortable and the sofa bed was comfortable too for sofa bed standards. There are 2 wall mounted TVs, no cable channels, the only english channel was a music video channel (not MTV, not VH1). The room had a typical Spanish/Barcelona feel with high ceilings, huge windows, and quaint tiles. There’s no closet, only hanger space by the door. The bathroom was huge for the size of the bedroom. It had rain and hand shower heads. The bathroom felt modern but with old style Spanish tiles and recycled wood frosted windows. They even provided bedroom slippers and shower caps.

The included breakfast is excellent. Meats, cheeses, pastries, bread, juices, yoghurt. We had an early flight the next day and the staff set up our breakfast in the room the night before. Upon leaving we also saw their actual breakfast spread which was in their multipurpose lobby area. It was plentiful and inviting.

The staff is available to assist the guests from 7a to 6p during our Saturday-Sunday stay. We were given an emergency number number in case we needed more assistance.

We Boutique hotel lacked some of the amenities that we were used to have in other much bigger hotels, but this hotel excelled in the service and their effort to make our stay comfortable.

My wife and I stayed at the We Boutique for three nights. It's location is convenient - close to the Arc de Triomf and the metro station of the same name. The room was clean, comfortable, and gave us a good night's sleep. The daily, well-stocked continental breakfast includes an option for made to order eggs dishes. The staff, especially the person with saw at the front counter, Jenny, consistently answered all our questions in a friendly and informative way. In fact, when we needed transportation to the airport, Jenny guided us to the best bus options, etc.

This small hotel, which is in the city center, did not meet our expectations, during our visit on November.
First of all, even though it is considered as a "vintage" place, the owners should invest some money to repair couches, floor, paint the walls. We booked a double room with view, for three nights, we were given a junior suite, because there was no availability for a double room for the first night but we paid the higher rate, for the suite, as if it was our decision to choose a junior suite. The second day we moved to the double room with the view and for the next two nights we could not sleep due to the noise outside. And besides all that, the room was right next to the kitchen meaning that at 7 o' clock in the morning, the hotel employee had to prepare breakfast, one can imagine the noise!

Response from We Boutique Hotel, Owner at We Boutique Hotel
Responded Mar 29, 2024
Dear Maria, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding your recent stay at We Boutique Hotel. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you experienced during your visit. We appreciate your comments regarding the condition of our facilities. Please rest assured that we take your feedback seriously and are committed to addressing these issues promptly. We are currently in the process of assessing and scheduling necessary repairs and updates to ensure a more comfortable experience for all our guests. Regarding the room allocation, we regret any confusion or inconvenience caused by the situation with your booking. We understand your disappointment with being initially assigned a junior suite due to the unavailability of the double room, however, we did inform you about our availabilities and the prices before you made the reservation and you agreed to stay in the Junior suite for the first night and change room for the rest of the stay. We also understand your frustration with the noise disturbances during your stay. While we do our best to minimize these disturbances, we acknowledge that it can be challenging, particularly in a bustling city center location. Rest assured, we are actively exploring additional measures to further reduce noise levels within our premises and enhance the overall comfort of our guests. We value your patronage and hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future, where we can provide you with the exceptional experience that we strive to deliver to all our guests.

I can't fault anything about this small hotel. Our room was tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was tasty and having free access to a Nespresso machine in the lobby was much appreciated.

The rooms have a reasonably priced minibar, and excellent natural wine is available for purchase from the lobby. Both of these were charged on an honesty basis (tell the staff when you check out what you had), which I really liked. It made us feel like trusted guests rather than just another number like large hotel chains can sometimes do.

The location right next to the Arc de Triomf is very convenient, with many bars, restaurants, and shops in easy walking distance (including a great one literally next door to the hotel!). There is also a nearby metro station for trips further afield.

The absolute best thing about this hotel though has to be the staff. They couldn't do enough for us, and we're extremely friendly and accommodating during our stay, even keeping the reception open late so we could check in after our evening flight.

Overall I would definitely recommend We Boutique Hotel. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and the price for our room was more than reasonable. When we return to Barcelona we will definitely be coming back here.

The Hotel has a reception/lounge /breakfast area and 5 bedrooms all on the 3rd or 4th floor of an apartment block …
Its smaller than we imagined but perfectly formed .The room was great everything you need for a short break ..the sofa bed was ok for my daughter but as with most sofa beds wasn't super comfy ..
The staff are really warm and friendly and cant do enough to help make your stay as enjoyable as possible .
The only thing that lets it down is the fact that you are amongst residents with washing machines and what sounded like a treadmill above and dogs.
We had a howling /barking dog for 6 hours which wasn't great last night ,especially as we were up at 6am for the airport home .
The breakfast is great ,fruit ,cereal ,yoghurts, charcuterie ,boiled /scrambled eggs ..toast & preserves again everything you need for a busy day exploring ..with great service .
A staff member booked a taxi for us to the airport for our return journey ,the driver was friendly and got us there on promptly ..however we were quoted €30 and paid €47 which i thought was steep .
I would definitely recommend this Hotel if you prefer a small and more personal/authentic stay .

A lovely boutique hotel with lots of character in a good location at a reasonable price. Within a few mins walk of the the metro, and walking distance to the ramblas. We had a lovely room which had a balcony where we had our breakfast and watched the world go by. Breakfast is sufficient to start the day and there is always tea, coffee and cake available in reception to help yourself to. The road is quite a busy one, but the shutters closed at night block out a lot of the sound. The beds are really comfortable, so we had some great nights sleep. Highly recommend a stay at this hotel. The little bottle of cava to celebrate our anniversary was a kind gesture and much appreciated.

Great stay at charming hotel for New Year's Eve. Loved the location, service and charming rooms. Planned a last minute NYE to Barcelona and the hotel did not disappoint. I try to stay at Boutique hotels for the location and service as a frequent solo traveller. This hotel has it all for a few nights in Barcelona.
Tips: Front desk not staffed all day, tiny elevator holds one person with luggage. Front door is a little tricky sp be patient. Accessible by metro from airport. Walk to Arch de Triompe, Gothic Quarter and Plaza Catalunya and feel safe. Also many restaurants and shopping all next door and walkable. Great stay at this 6 room building for two nights.

A seasoned traveller, I'm accustomed to good hotels and excellent service - I research thoroughly before booking.
But I was blown away by this absolute gem of a boutique hotel - quirky and delightful.
The staff can't do enough for you and every request you make is treated as if you're doing them a favour. A gift of Cava left in my room on my birthday sums up the ambience of this place.
The room was extremely pleasant and the breakfast range was vast and of great quality. Further, a fantastic breakfast was delivered to our room the evening before we left very early the next morning before serving was to begin - see photo.
I can only recommend this hotel to other travellers with full confidence that they'll enjoy the experience as much as we did. Many, many thanks to the staff for helping to make our stay in Barcelona so enjoyable.
Exceptional.

We stayed in one of the 6 private rooms in this beautiful bed & breakfast hotel. The room was small but adequate. The common area was lovely where a daily buffet breakfast was served to guests. Walking to La Sagrada Familia and Palau de la Música Catalana was convenient. The staff was very helpful and friendly.
