If we return to Barcelona, we will definitely stay here!
Bathrooms full of mould, filth and nothing like what you see on the pictures.
They clearly don’t have a clue when it comes to hygiene by allowing the shower head to clog up with that much limescale the water struggles to come out.
Hotel is falling apart round the communal areas with wallpaper falling off the walls and fire hoses falling out the walls.
Director takes no responsibility for his hotel after emailing me explaining how our comfort and satisfaction is his utmost priority however won’t do a thing for you except out a cheap €5.00 bottle of wine in your room.
Moved us rooms and all you could smell was pure sewage that made us sick most days in a hot room.
Internet is rubbish, staff can’t make a decision and all in all I would strongly recommend you find a different hotel.
Even the most basic hotels have a standardised cleaning routine that this place clearly missed.
The cost was about $150 Canadian a night, so not expecting luxury…. bit I do expect clean and functioning. Soooo, the super not great points…the toilet was not attached to the floor. There was content on the shower walls left by the previous guest that was not cleaned during the entire duration of our stay, ewww.
On our second day, upon returning to the room, we had no power. There were no lights, no air conditioning and the power slot for our room card was broken. When I went down to the lobby, the kid at the desk had no idea what was wrong, the power came back on about 40 minutes later with no explanation as to what was wrong. Everyday after this the power took about 20 minutes to kick in after arriving in our room.
The wardrobe doors wouldn’t open unless you picked them up and moved them to the side. The tub did not drain. The chair for the desk was missing a leg and an arm.
The housekeeping wasn’t great…a half effort at best.
We visited the pool, the lady in charge of the towels came up and told us she was closing it 1/2 an hour early, and that we had to leave. Also , the towels were all dirty and piled on the bench, with no new ones available. Both nights we visited it.
The buffet breakfast was lovely, and the staff themselves were very nice. However to even offer this room was a disappointment. There is no reason that a guest should be shoved into the small inadequate hovel of a room that we were placed in …and seeing other guests that paid the same, but had far superior experiences, I am sadly disappointed with my overall experience.
Very good location in regards to the metro.
We went down to the reception, but there was only one guy there. He told us to send them an e-mail, since he was the only one working. And so I did. The problem is that we had to leave only a few hours later, and never got the chance to tell any othe person who worked there. This is the dirtiest hotel I've ever visited! They ruin your shoes, room, and when you send them an e-mail, they don't reply.
Please don't go here! It's awful, and I really felt like they didn't respect us at all. Also, I'm typing this review months later! That's because I was waiting for a reply, but never got one. Eventually I forgot it to for a while, but here it is. And btw they never answered my e-mail, even though I had pictures and proof. Will never go back here!
The room incredibly dirty, it clearly hasn't been cleaned properly in years, dirt on the walls window frames and hair everywhere.
As soon as we arrived I went to have a shower and was hit in the head by the shower head and the shower head holder is apparently broken so it just falls down. I went to report it, and they wouldn't look into it until the following day and told me it'd be fixed in the morning. They never came to fix it the entire stay.
The Bathroom is very small, far smaller than I recall our previous room being in our last stay, it's very difficult to move around in it. The toilet is positioned in a small nook which means that you have to sit at a 45 degree angle as there's no space for your legs if sitting properly. It's also hard getting out of the shower, there's little space to maneuver there's no shower curtain or door, but an affixed glass pane, and I ended up slicing my foot on the glass door trying to climb out. I have a photo of the nasty gash in my foot, but I believe it's against tripadvisor's rules to upload it. I hope it doesn't leave a scar.
The water pressure is very low, there's no electric/power shower so it comes out as a trickle, and sometimes just comes out cold, with one morning no warm water at all during our showers.
Some of the power sockets on the wall in the room just don't work. I didn't realise until the following morning when our equipment hadn't charged.
The wardrobe door was broken and didn't close properly, and the vent was broken.
One of the lift reports wrong floors, it took us going up and down a couple of times to figure out the lift reports a different level than you are actually at. One evening none of the lifts worked at all and we had to walk to top floor with our luggage.
Finally, the Lobby stunk of sewage, we tried not to spend much time in there, strangely outdoors there was no such smell, so it was likely hotel plumbing.
It's a pity, as the hotel was in far better condition the last time we stayed, and the location of the hotel is fantastic.
We paid double price for the cheaper quality Sunotel Junior hotel with the dirty small room, we could not even open the door of washroom because of awfull smell and not ventilated. No safety box,
When client book a package, the 3rd party( agancy or,…) need to be in contact with other providers or the hotel should have some follow up when working in partnership with other agents/websits,….the next day, they reimbursed us the our 1st night with no price difference because of lower quality, so we went back to Sunotel Aston but all of those were such a headache after 19 hrs flight from Vancouver-Canada and above all of that they were not understanding and their treatment was so rude…..
