This hotel really is in a great location. Walking distance to almost all the main parts of Barcelona: (10 minutes to Las Ramblas, 20 to Port Vell, 20 to the beach). The metro is 1 minute away.
We stayed in room 303. It was large, very clean and very modern. We had to ask for an iron as it wasn’t on the room, but no problem. The air-con wasn’t fantastic, but eventually the room was cooled down. Room was cleaned daily.
We didn’t take breakfast as it was 13€ each and there are many bakeries close by.
Parking is very close and costs 16€ a day. You can pay at the hotel.
We didn’t use the bar because of the COVID situation or any of the other facilities.
Staff were very friendly and helpful on reception.
I would recommend for the price, for the cleanliness and location.

Has spent quite a considerable time online prior to visit to choose a good hotel. This hotel is not the cheapest but we were pleased with it. It is central in Barcelona so gives you access to all main sites within walking distance or tube stop. The staff are all very welcoming especially the breakfast staff who are superb!!! I emailed the hotel in advance and they responded quickly. We had needed a triple room which are only available at the fron of the hotel on the road side. If you are a light sleeper you will hear the traffic, deliveries early doors and the metro. So if you need quiet don't pick this room. However we managed fine. The room was snug for 3 as an extra bed I saw brought in as like a double room. It is very modern and clean. Very big bathroom with very good amenities. We had French doors to roadside which were lovely to open and let some fresh air come in. We had breakfast included and it was superb! Never too busy. Excellent range and quality of food including hot selection for English men! Definitely ample and sets you up for the day! The staff here were very attentive, smiling and a credit to the hotel. We didn't eat here at night so can't comment. Likewise they do have a bar but didn't try as we liked to walk out and try different eateries and bars. The staff were always able to help your day trips and provided good advice. The lobby includes a nice treat of sweets and cava! You do need to pay a city tax here as in all city hotels. We travelled from the airport with a transfer taxi they had arranged. Cost 39 euros. On return opted for a taxi outside the hotel which cost 31 euros. Both direct door to door. The hotel has a great supermarket over the road to the right which is excellent prices. There are also numerous bars and restaurants nearby. We went to a few Irish bars as my son isn't keen on tapas. Whatever you want I see nearby. Various prices. Quite alot have outside sitting areas but as a non smoking family we didn't stop as everyone was always smoking. There is a downstairs bar on the square by the hotel which has incredible prices for a budget. Worth a look! We would recommend this hotel overall but if I were returning I would want a room without the traffic noise.

This is a superbly located hotel, immaculately clean, and good sized rooms. We were up on the top floor with a lovely view across the rooftops and could see the spires of Sagrada Familia! Comfy, large bed and appreciated the kettle and tea/coffee too. Bathroom modern and a powerful shower. Bar area nice.

The real selling point is the location, just 5 minutes from the fabulous Born area. The market at Santa Caterina is really nice and more 'local" than Boqueria. We found some small excellent bars and restaurants and just walked and walked each day.

Due to the situation becoming more complicated with coronavirus restrictions, we cut short our stay by two nights. When we left (6pm) it was too late to refund for that night, but they refunded the final night straight away.

Highly recommended for central Barcelona; parking at Urquinaona (5mn walk) if needed and Metro station is there too. 10mn walk to Plaza Catalunya and the top of the Ramblas too.

Extremely rude check-in. The lady at checkin (Guadalupe) insisted that on booking.com, the price of breakfast paid on-site stated "per person". It does not and I have the screenshot. Being mistaken is natural, but she insisted I was wrong and she was adamant and rude about it. Then, when I mentioned that the price on booking.com was lower than on the hotel website and that they were losing money in commission when selling on booking.com, her reply abruptly: "I'm not losing any commission!¨Obviously not, but the hotel was and I suggested telling the Revenue Manager (I worked in hospitality many years.) . She truly didnt care. I would have given the hotel 3 stars, but arriving and basically being mistreated by a staff member sets a horrible tone for the stay at the hotel!

When we got the room, which we had reserved with "terrace", we discovered the terrace was a regular-sized balcony. (We´d previously booked rooms with terraces in other hotels nearby, so we were disappointed,)

Despite the hotel seeming quite empty, it always took ages for the elevator to arrive, because there are only two, and not very fast.

The pool was beautiful, but with only 8 deck chairs (not even sunloungers), it got crowded fast and would have been uncomfortable to tan for an hour or two. The rooftop was otherwise quite empty and plenty of space for a bigger pool.

The design in general however, was quite nice, and all of the other staff members were quite friendly and helpful.

Dear "Salkin" First of all , thank you for providing feedback regarding your visit, your comments offer us the opportunity to improve. On the other hand I would like to express my apologies about your writing regarding our staff. The majority of our clients who choose to stay with us leave very positive feedback about the staff and for this reason we are sorry to hear that your expectations were not met on this occasion. It is true, that the breakfast prices that appear on the websites are per person, not per room, and this is what the receptionist tried to explain, to avoid misunderstandings On the different websites they have their own loyalty programs, which allows users to have competitive advantages in price, based on their points. But the prices are the same on all platforms, and depending on each level of loyalty, you will get a more competitive price or not. However, we really appreciate your valuable feedback, which we will use to improve our services and avoid this kind of situations to our future guests Regards Roger Gallego Vincci Gala Hotel.

Lovely looking and trendy hotel, ideally located in a great area for touring Barca on foot. Some great eateries and bars in the surrounding area.
Hotel staff were quite poor. Upon check in we weren’t given WiFi info and had to ask for it twice. Also we weren’t told that there was a fantastic roof terrace with views of Sagrada Familia. We only discovered it on our final night. Housekeeping would also knock and then let themselves in before we could even get to the door.
We only booked a standard room as we knew we wouldn’t be spending much time at the hotel. Room was pretty standard, bathroom was nice enough but had the most ridiculous glass door with huge gaps either side. No privacy whatsoever, might aswell be no door at all. This is very common in trendy hotels in Spain. I don’t get it! It’s ridiculous.
All in all a great trip to a great city. Hotel just served a purpose, nothing special other than the location.

We are glad to read that Vincci Gala turns out convenient for you for stay and planning your daily visits in the city thanks to our central situation. On the other hand, I would like to express my apologies about your writing regarding our staff. Issues such as the Wi-Fi code (which appears on the key holder when we deliver it at check-in) or information about our terrace (we announce the excellent views that can be enjoyed from our terrace both in the elevators and on each floor of the Hotel) should be also inform from our staff during the check in. Nevertheless, if you come to Barcelona next time we will be happy to convince you of all the Hotel provides and the friendliness and professionalism of our complete team, very proud of them. Had to change hotels at the (very) last minute and was a little apprehensive of this late booking, there was absolutely no need we were so pleased with the room and location, very clean and modern, staff couldn't do enough for us, so helpful and friendly, right by a metro station which worked out great too. Early check in (arrived at 1.30pm and room was ready immediately) and late check out (12pm) will definitely stay again for future Barcelona trips. The lovely lady on reception even offered us a room upgrade free of charge which we declined as we specifically wanted a front facing room with a view onto the main road. Tiny downside was noise, sometimes we could hear the cleaners outside the room or people in the hallway and entering/leaving their room quite clearly but that was all, not enough noise to disrupt our stay or to put us off returning.

Dear "Alexandra M" Thank you for leaving your feedback about your recently stay with us.It is a pleasure to read that you have had a very good experience after a last minute change in your accommodation. The hotel location helps a lot to make the stay in Barcelona as easy as possible, close enough to the main points of interest and local life but in a quiet and safe area of the city center. Our highest pride is the staff. We love dealing with people and we always try to be in a good mood. The best of that is that spreads to anyone who is around. We all are very happy to learn that we were contributing to make your stay memorable!!! I look forward to welcoming you back. We were really happy with our stay at Vincci Gala hotel. Room was very clean and good size (we also had a balcony where we could sit outside although there was no view from It) and location is just perfect, very close to plaza Catalunya and Las Ramblas).
Staff is very nice and welcoming. We had breakfast included, we were really pleased with the selection they offered (although I thought there could be more options but that’s just a personal opinion) and the girls at breakfast were very nice and always welcomed us with a smile no matter how busy they were. Food was also really tasty and I really liked their fresh juices and coffees (they have a Nespresso machine with lots of coffee pods and different flavours).
We were impressed with how clean our room was everyday, housekeeping team does a really good job in keeping the hotel spot on.
Rooftop terrace with swimming pool is a nice touch, you can also enjoy a view of the city and even spot La Sagrada Familia.
Overall it was a very good stay and good value for money. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and will definitely come back. Muchas gracias!

Upon walking through the double glass door entrance it very much feels like a 4 star hotel however there’s where it ends.

Firstly the grand staircase leads to the most miserable shaded terrace surrounded by buildings.

The bar is quite frankly poor and pointless.

The lifts are noisy and reverberated into our room on the first floor late into the night and early in the morning.

The room was dark and dingy with curtains that didn’t close properly. The glass door for the bathroom had the biggest gap around it which made for no privacy considering eyeline from the bed allowed the person sleeping on the right side to see the other person evacuating their bowels on a morning.
The light switches were just strange and the choice of light fittings is just as strange.

At no point was we made aware that the mini bar containing super small bottles would lead to a near 40 euro charge for approx 10 bottles used over 4 days.

There is a strange payment system of which prior to the trip you’re charged the first nights stay, well it is held in your account, upon arrival you’re asked to pay the full amount so the first night can then be reimbursed. This by the way took 4 days and because you have to pay the full amount on the day rather than the remaining amount, I was charged even more by my bank for making a larger foreign transaction.

Location is okay, that’s as good as it got for me.

Will not return.

I was upgraded to the room with balcony upon my arrival due to that room with my bed preference was not available. Immediately when I went to the room, I noticed that the room was quite cold although the temperature was set to 25 degrees in the controller. Controller was showing also some kind of error. I went to the reception where case was managed professionally and very kindly. I was asked to wait a moment and janitor would have a look about the issue. After couple of minutes I was told that they can't fix the issue today and I got upgraded to superior room where heating was working perfectly.

I had my room on first floor facing the street. Soundproofing is not perfect - you could hear the traffic and young people shouting on the street after coming out of the night clubs. You can also hear the noice from the corridor and room's next door quite easy. Metro line goes under the hotel or under the facing street and you can hear and feel in the room when metro goes by. I usually sleep with my earplugs on so I wasn't disturbed by the noices and I had excellent sleep.

Location of the hotel is great. Short walk to the places that you want to see on your first trip to Barcelona. Metro station and bus stops are also really close.

Breakfast was excellent with lot of different options to choose from. Service in the breakfast was also kind and friendly.

This is the best location that we have stayed in, in Barcelona. We received a very warm and friendly welcome, we were too early for check in so we stored our bags and returned later. Our room was on the back of the building overlooking a number of other buildings with a pleasant little balcony which was a real sun trap. The room was bright and airy and provided everything that we needed. I have only marked it 4* rather than 5* because of the breakfast arrangements. The breakfast area is quite small and not all items were available, there were no fried eggs and there was going to be a 20 minute wait for bacon. There are lots of places nearby for eating and it’s only a short walk to the Arc de Triomphe and the town park. A really enjoyable stay and very friendly and helpful staff on reception.
