Casa Kessler is beautiful and you feel more like you're staying in a hotel than a hostel. Spotless, good sized rooms and the staff are always helpful. Great location - walking distance to everything but far enough away so that you don't lose sleep over noisy bars and revellers. Reviewers have commented previously that it's hard to meet people, it's...

From the moment we arrived we were impressed impressed. The staff were welcoming and hostel warm and stylishly decorated. Our room was clean and homely with thoughtful additions of a mirror, closet space, coat hangers and a stool. The linen was clean and of a high quality. The common room area was decorated like that of a stylish private home...

We recently stayed at Casa Kessler for a couple of days prior to a trans Atlantic cruise. The location was good - on a bus line to Sacra Familia, the Gaudi cathedral. Only a few blocks to the Passeig de Gracia and it's lovely Gaudi houses. Many tapas places there and easy subway access to the port. Nice cheap hostel...

This was so gorgeous for a hostel. Was all very clean and modern, great location and very helpful staff. The facilities were lovely and there was free coffee and tea which was s nice touch. Rooms were a decent size and the place felt safe and secure. Top bunks were very high and a bit scary getting up and down,...

One of the things I like is the professionalism of the staff. Besides they are so friendly that you get the answer you need. Quiet and convenient. For this price, one cannot find a better place so central.

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
