Good hotel but not excellent Very modern on inside, rooms good, but needed extra chairs to sit down on in room, bathrooms very roomy, my small bed a little hard but pillows comfy. Bad thing was we on the 2nd floor so a little noisy hard floors not carpet which would made it more quiet around lift areas I think, and you could hear lift going up and down all the time. The breakfast was very nice freshly cooked egg items you could request fresh, pastries delicious good coffee. Hotel very close to amazing tapas bars and heaps of shops. Staff pretty friendly and professional ready to help out if taxi needed and explained to driver where we needed to go.

I stayed at Catalonia De Passeig for 5 nights and I couldn’t have been more pleased with the choice. The location is situated in a perfect locations and truly deserves their 4 star rating. From the time I walked through the doors everyones was extremely friendly, hospitable and made my stay simple perfect. We arrived early and our room wasn’t quite ready so we left our bags to have lunch at a wonderful restaurant recommended by the front desk. Upon arrival back to the hotel a couple minutes before 2pm I was able to check into the Terrace room which was brilliantly situated on the first floor (one flight above the lobby) and adjacent to the pool which provided thorough sunlight but was also surprisingly tranquil and quiet. Don’t miss their ‘wine time’ each day where you can enjoy complimentary tapas (each day had a lovely selection of cheeses, meats and crackers) and a glass of wine. The breakfast is 100% worth the 20 euros. It is a complete feast and you can have eggs cooked to order with a selection from vegan friendly to meat lover. I can’t wait to return on my next trip to Barcelona!

Our stay from 19 thru 24 started with some arguments over reserved a ccommodation versus received accommodation but quickly solved turning our stay as comfortable as it could be!the upkeep of the room was first class .Two grand features were particularly outstanding 1. The super rich breakfast buffet and the two very friendly and attentive Columbian staff ladies who should be treasured by the management.Seldom in my travel of 92 countries have experienced such attention for detail with such a grace and great mood .Direction take care of those two ladies.2.The evenings of tapas and drinks in the bar area we cherished very much making the fatigued sightseeing so much more pleasant to get back to the hotel knowing what was waiting for us.A great idea . The front staff especially made us feeling home. The hotel' s location close to shopping assets but also the residential/ restaurant area not far from.the hotel east /north of it offered quiet first class restaurants away from the tourist masses. one example needs to be mentioned here : The Al Tagliatelli with its beautiful calming restive decor .We Will be back. Lovely hotel with well-appointed rooms and comfortable beds, in an excellent central location. Unfortunately my positive experience was badly impacted by the poor service at the front desk. In my future travels to Barcelona, I will not choose to stay at this hotel again. When I checked in, I explained that the hotel invoice needs to reflect a specific address. This is a simple request and one known by many business travellers. It took 15 minutes for the woman to tell me this was not possible without specific information. Asking for an address on an invoice is not unreasonable nor is it an unusual request. I asked her to please sort it out so there would be no issues at checkout. During checkout the next morning there had been no note of this made, and I lost another 15 minutes finding ways for the hotel to help me with this rather simple request. In the end while the address was on the invoice, it took far too long with rather snippy unprofessional service. As a business consultant I spend countless nights in hotels. I have a rather high tolerance for things not always being perfect and understand that working for a hotel is challenging work. However, a few basics are expected such as a clear room and bed - as well as a seamless and efficient checkout. The hotel was very nice and I would have loved to stay at this property again, but not after this experience.

First of all, thank you for sharing your comment on TripAdvisor. We are very sorry for the inconvenience that you had during your stay, Anyway, your request was to have an invoice under your company name and, according to the Spanish law and as the front desk staff explained you in the check in and the check out, to do that, we need the VAT number of the company, that you refused to provide us. When this number is provided, there is no problem at all in giving the invoice with all the details that the guest requests. We hope that this explanation will help to clarify the misunderstanding and we hope to see you again in one of our hotels very soon. Best regards

A wonderful experience in a centrally located hotel (near all cultural highlights, shopping area of Passeig de Gracia and near to a wide choice of bars and restaurants), with a delicious breakfast buffet including cava. Tapas and wine are offered in the late afternoon. The hotel has a relaxing pool area as well, ideally to relax a bit after finishing your daily program.
