Perfectly located just off of Las Ramblas near Plaza Catalunya, Plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby and right next to a metro station. The rooms are very spacious and the rooftop pool looked pretty cool. Unfortunately we went in January so it was a little too cold to swim. Overall, great value and would high recommend.

Just a couple of minutes walk and you are on La Rambla, a great location. I'm not really sure why the hotel is rated as a 3* hotel, the facilities are modern and rooms are large. A free welcome drink on arrival and although a little pricey the breakfast was really nice and worth trying it just for one morning....

Hotel Jazz is perfect boutique hotel in a fabulous city. Conveniently located on a quiet street near Plaça Catalunya, Las Ramblas, all the major sites, and just steps away from the Universitad metro stop for an easy trip to the Sagrada Familia. Friendly, discreet and helpful staff, comfortable modern rooms, and exceptional price-quality ratio. Nice breakfast spread too, and worth...

We stayed in early January 2017 in the Hotel and fully enjoyed our stay. It is close to good places and rooms are nice and clean. We stayed in room 411 and Internet was not working so kids have been a bit disappointed with that. When calling the reception they told us to go to the lobby :( except for...

The location is central and is an excellent base for sightseeing and shopping, there are a few places to eat but more coffee shops and fast food chains rather than traditional Spanish restaurants, which are a couple of blocks away. The room was extremely spacious and is the size of a studio apartment, so the 3 of us (adults) all...

This is our second stay with Hotel Jazz, a fabulous small hotel ideally situated close to Las Ramblas & Placa de Catalunya. The hotel is immaculate with all the facilities you would expect, but what makes it is the staff, they are allwithout exception friendly, welcoming and helpful - Well done Hotel Jazz and thank you.

This hotel is ideally placed, within a few hundred yards of the Placa Catalunya and Las Ramblas, so close to many tourist attractions. The hotel itself is quite modern in design, with a large reception area, small lounge and good-sized breakfast room. There is also a swimming pool and small patio area on the 8th floor, though visiting in January...

Ideal for a base for site seeing. I was hoping maybe there might be some Jazz, but not to be.. Poor bar on the 1st floor and too cold on the roof. Room was clean, but could have done without the maid entering at 8.30 am to make up the room, before we checked out.

My husband, 1 year old son and I wanted some late summer sunshine as well as an opportunity to take in this amazing city again. Barcelona has always been done previously with friends/as a couple so I was keen to find a hotel which would allow us to relax as a family as well as take in the city. This...

As many other reviewers have noted, this hotels strength lays in its location. Tucked away in a short alley between two main roads with the Metro entrance only a few steps away We arrived early and we were allowed to check-in and had a choice of rooms. We elected to go for a room at the rear to keep the...

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
