We loved the location-very convenient to transportation and activities. The front desk personel were very helpful with any questions or requests we had. The buffet is a very nice feature-I love being able to get coffee or a snack whenever we wanted and the men in our group loved coming back from an outing and having a glass of wine... More

I've been reading others' reviews and they're all true in some ways. There must be a big variety in room confitgurations. Ours was a "Sun" room overlooking Rambla Catalunya, lovely view of the square below and really quiet, not huge but certainly ample space for a couple. We'd be in the "24/7 buffet was a great thing" camp. It's true... More

This hotel is quite a refreshing change. The staff are super attentive and friendly. Yes the rooms are decorated in a very traditional floral way but the beds are extremely comfortable, there are more than enough towels which are fluffy & the 24 hour buffet and free soft drinks, juice, tea & coffee was brilliant. Yes it is off disposable... More

This hotel is just blocks away from La Rambla, due to a computer error our room was unavailable. The hotel went out of their way by making the best accommodations by giving us a suite. There was a sitting room and a bedroom, lots of plugs, and drinks and snacks available 24 hours. These were adequate, but don't plan on... More

We stayed here during our trip to Barcelona, and all in all it was a charming B&B, nothing else. The location is very good, close to catalunya square and the Ramblas. We took a bus from the airport to Catalunya square and wheeled our bags a few blocks down to the hotel. Wasn't that bad, just don't carry very heavy... More

Once I got over the claustrophobia of my room, I truly enjoyed this hotel. The public sitting area is nice and the buffet came in very handy. Above all the service was excellent. Vivianne took great care of us.

We stayed here for a single night before a cruise towards the end of Feb. We selected this hotel based on the many reviews in Trip Advisor. We were very letdown. The entry way is not dissimilar to a freight elevator, three flights up, around a corner, through a non-descript doorway around another corner and you enter the very small... More

120 EUR for a double bed room, with that standard? Same price as a super nice 4* hotel down the street, right in Plaza Cataluña? Are you KIDDING?? However cute, corky and certainly interesting (and I'm being nice now), you should definitely be aware that this is a dingy 3* star hotel, and NOT perfect for a stay in Barcelona... More

Charming and a bonus for us! We had originally booked into the Continental Barcelona but when we gfot there - the lift was not working and you had to climb 3 flights of stairs. Not easy for myhusband who has had 2 hip replacements. So. They offered to upgrade us to the Palacete free of charge. The rooms are very... More

We stayed at this hotel 3 nights pre-cruise. The hotel was exactly as pictured and what we expected it to be. Very pink and small but adequate room although the bathroom was rather large. Our bed was not comfortable. We like a firm bed but the sides made it feel like you were going to slide off. The service from... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
