Second time to stay in zoo rooms. Good area, lots of bars and restaurants. Couple of blocks from passaig de garcia. Rooms are great, not luxurious but perfectly fine. Added bonus of kitchen area if you want to keep and prepare food. Lovely big terrace as well. Very cheap nightly rate. Wouldn't stay anywhere else now, hopefully be back again☺

Zoo rooms has some really cool interior decor. The location is perfect to see all the sites of Barcelona. The staff were incredibly helpful and went through all the best places to visit and eat. I would definitely stay there again!

Great value staying here. Really liked the location in the Eixample neighborhood, a 15 min walk or metro ride to every place you could want to go in Barcelona. Rooms were clean, we used the kitchen multiple times to save money and that worked well. And relaxing at night in those hammocks were great ways to end a day.

Trawling through all the hotels on offer in Barcelona was a bit of a nightmare; finding something at a decent price but at the same time wasn't a faceless, multi-national hotel chain. Zoorooms ticked all the boxes for us. While the rooms are on the smaller side (more than enough room for two people though), they are clean, well designed,...

We stayed for 3 nights at this great hostel. The area was lovely felt safe and had restaurants and supermarkets nearby. We were really well situated for getting around by public transport and the bus touristic. The hostel itself is on the first floor of a lovely building. The rooms are quirky with unique art. It was spotlessly clean and...

Zoo Rooms came highly recommended to us from a friend and he could not have been more right. On arrival, we were greeted by a super friendly hostess, who showed us to our room and gave us a tour of the guesthouse and terrasse. She then sat us down with a map and showed us all the best places to...

I have just checked in and I am appalled at the extremely low level of customer service that I recieved. I travel frequently and I have never once been treated with such disdain while checking into my accommodation. There were several unexpected schedule changes with my train today due to a reservation mishap, therefore I arrived earlier than expected. I...

which was written in the heat of the moment on arrival by a guest who felt begrudged by a reception staff member. I spoke to her and the staff member involved to get to the bottom of the matter as it seemed very out of character for him to act the way it was described above. After a satisfying conversation...

Stayed for a week in early July while attending a music festival and visiting Barcelona and the surrounding region. Very good location, comfortable bed, and informative and friendly advice from the staff we met. Availability of a well equipped kitchen was really useful, as was access to a large terraced area. Must sees? Sagradia Familia, Mont Juic - especially from...

The hosts are very friendly and spent a considerable amount of time explaining to us on the map where all the sights are, where to eat and what type of metro ticket was most suitable for us. Room had a great street art wall. Saved money by making our own breakfast using the kitchen facilities and eating in the terrace...

This quirky hostel is easy walking distance to most attractions in Barcelona. We were greeted and briefed on where to go and what to do when we arrived. Our room was small but was clean had everything we needed. The terrace with hammocks is a great place to have a quiet drink and relax from the hustle and bustle. Would...

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.

We are situated in a prestigious area of the city, next to the city's most hip restaurants, bars and just walking distance to the city's finest sights: There are bars and clubs just around the corner if you want to go out dancing, the best of the city's restaurants - with prices to suit all budgets - are all within easy walking distance. Gaudí's masterpieces La Pedrera and Casa Battló are also just a few blocks away. The area is safe at night to walk around in - you will not be harrassed by beer-sellers, thieves and drunkards like in the old town.Did we mention the TERRAZA? Our privileged guests will soon discover our large sunny terrace with hammocks and tables and lounge chairs where guests can really chill out and take a break from the hum-drum of the big city.
