I've been to Barcelona on many occasions and always stayed four or five star but ended up paying silly money to get to the githic quarter and port. This hotel is basic but all you need for being located in a superb central location. I can't understand anyone complaining about noise...you are in Barcelona, embrace it! Room is basic but...

Good budget hotel in a great location. Bars restraurants on the doorstep. We had a budget room which was all we needed, TV chargeable, nice bathroom. Lack of electrical sockets though! Had to unplug tv to charge phone. Breakfast included, coffee, orange juice, crossoints, bread, jam and yogurt. Served in a brick vaulted cellar.

I have travelled to Barcelona every year for the past 13 years. This hotel, on Placa Reial, is in a superb location. Just of the Ramblas, close the the market and the Gothic Quarter. The room was inexpensive, clean, the Wi-Fi worked fine, and the breakfast was OK (nothing fancy). The only problem encountered was that the Place is a...

This hotel is very very basic, it has a bed and shower and this was fantastic for what we needed! I wouldn't take the wife there on a romantic break away unless she isn't fussy! But for a cheap place to get your head down it's perfect! The location is also fantastic and the city it's self is one of...

Great location, nice place, crap breakfast. Located off La Rambla. Lovely place. Very nice, clean and tidy, although we had an issue with the toilet as the flush did not worked, probably because of the water pressure as we were located on the 4th floor. VERY BASIC BREAKFAST. only buns + jam. No cheese or ham. Bit dissapointing so we...

Lovely place for a few days. We had a room with a view of the Placa Reial. Bathroom and breakfast OK, very good at a budget price. The wifi was poor, would definitely stay there again. Too basic for a longer stay, though.

We would stay here again if we could guarantee a balcony room overlooking the square . The only down side...

Reminding oneself of the reasonable tariff helps a lot experiencing the echoic ambience and all-night noise of this little place hidden behind expensive restaurants on this central square. The breakfast space is nice down in the cellar where one gets a croissant & coffee, but the hotel is more than a little quirky and sub-standard in various places. There are...

The hotel is basic but that's exactly what I needed. A good bed and a clean room to sleep whilst exploring the city. I did not go to Barcelona to stay in a fancy hotel. I went to enjoy the city. Yes the room is on the small side but still had 3 beds, bathroom and cupboard in there. Was...

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
